For the critics regarding Luth IPF at 100 yards, please remember that each trust for the roof cost 2 million dollars. To extend the facility to 120 yards would have added at least 6 to 8 million in additional cost to build. I can’t imagine what our players can learn on a 120 yard facility that they can’t learn at the Luth

Not sure what a lot of this has to do with “2019 QB” discussion.
To return to topic:
Report from the Athletic Department staff at reunion this morning is that Matt Considine is in the house.

I heard he might play intramural softball if he doesn’t make the football team. Wrong. He has committed to play flag with the Knights of Columbus. Should compete for their starting QB role.

I thought HC had no K of C on campus because they feel the organization "discriminates" against women.

He has 2 years of eligibility left. Started 7 games at Tenn Tech before transferring to LSU as a walk on. If true, just more good news for the QB competition. Let the best man win the job.

Terrific foresight that scholarships have been saved for these transfers Both transfer QBs have walked on at previous schools. Perhaps great foresight or perhaps great salesmanship. If one or both of these transfers are walk-ons, we have a coach who can really sell Holy Cross.

Big difference in walking on to an FBS, esp LSU, and walking on to HC Have to believe that they are on full scholarships

They are here on scholarship...either full or partial. Transfers are not going to come if they have to pay full freight.

One has to think that this QB spoke with LSU's kicker about Coach Chesney and that got the ball rolling in the right direction. HC has done well in the past with an LSU transfer.... Here's his high school highlight reel www.hudl.com/profile/2033243/Andre-SaleSale grew up in Baton Rouge and his sister and both parents went to LSU. He played HS ball in Little Rock after the family was transferred there.

This gives us three new QBs. That position went from a potential weakness to a potential strength pdq. Transfers are a potential opportunity to manage the (scholarship) cap. Another school trains them and then HC only spends two years worth of scholarship and gets what should be their most skilled two years.

There is also no doubt that Coach Chesney and his staff know where there are needs to be filled and how to go about doing just that. I am looking more and more for the season to start...and I am someone who never wanted to wish away the summer!

The man has his own timetable and like his practices, the pace is brisk

longsuffering - Ya lost me....can you expound on this ? I think he means that you’re committing two years of scholarship dollars to a guy with a high likelihood of being a strong contributor for two years. With Frosh, you’re committing four years of scholarship dollars to a player who, on average, will give you the same two years of strong contribution. Same return, half the cost. In theory.

Yes, with THEORY capitalized. I buy late model used cars instead of new ones using the same theory. Generally works well. Coach Chesney's intensity should help the new player focus on now.
