It certainly sounds like he did. To make matters worse, it also sounds like the prostitutes were not willing participants as this is part of a human trafficking investigation.
I predict he will plead guilty to a lesser charge. Also that the league will impose a fine and suspension over and above the criminal penalties.
In spite of the opinions of sports talk radio in NYC, I do not think the Patriots will forfeit draft picks

This is getting a ton of coverage in the Boston market. They are saying misdemeanor. That assumes his role is strictly a client, and at this time there is zero reason to believe his role was any more than that

He's not going to jail. Billionaires don't go to jail, especially for a non-violent crime. I believe the stories are that the "workers" don't even speak English. His spokesperson is saying he did nothing illegal - not denying that "things" didn't happen, just not illegal. He is probably on solid ground that he did not know the people he was dealing with were human traffickers and their victims. He goes for a massage and things happened. [What's the over/under as to how long before the videotapes leak?]
Embarrassing for sure and likely the NFL will make him pay for this embarrassment but considering that others associated with the NFL have beaten people up on camera and Kraft is owner of the showcase franchise, he'll probably be happy to pay a big fine and walk.

I don’t think this will be a happy ending for Robert Kraft

Dean, if you keep cleaning up these threads, we'll have to re-name you, "Roomba." Don't worry, Lent is coming very soon as will my sabbatical. Because of the volume of posts that you have been making lately, I've assumed that Lent was approaching and you needed to get this all out of your system and cleanse yourself! Lent begins on Wednesday, March 6th! Play in games are Tuesday, March 5th with quarter final games on Thursday, March 7th. You will only have a few hours after the March 5th game to blow out as many happy or sad posts before the stroke of midnight! !

Patronizing a prostitute is definitely a misdemeanor, meaning the Florida authorities will slap him with a fine. His real problem is with the NFL and being charged with violating the league's conduct policy. In theory, Kraft could be suspended, forcing him to watch the Patriots on TV instead of looking down from on high in his luxury Gillette Stadium suite.

Even if he chose to ignore the likely human trafficking going on, and even if he was willing to risk arrest, wasn’t he worried about getting blackmailed?

If it doesn't concern his buddy, why should it concern him? Just pay them off. It's not like Kraft is a presidential candidate for goodness sakes.

Nevah a big fan of Bob....very good businessman but hardly a saint. Myra (thanks for the Dinand renovation) kept him grounded...he's been sort of out of control since her death imo..."late life crisis" with the supposed gf, trying to be a man about town etc.

I agree, being a jerk has consequences, especially when it's a public figure; or, in this case, a very wealthy public figure.
The NFL punishment (likely a suspension like Irsay) seems like enough, however. Seems like some people are trying to nail him for a lot more than having illicit sex in a tawdry place.

Some people are saying that he should have known that the girls in the establishment were effectively slaves
Not pinning additional accusations, but at least one New York sports radio host thought the Patriots should forfeit all of their picks in the upcoming draft. That would be way more than the fine and suspension he is likely to be looking at

The Pats (team) suffering as a result of his actions, forfeiting draft picks as an example, I think would be incongruous, although it would send a very clear and discouraging message to other owners: keep your nose clean or pay a big price. If a player does something off the field and it results in a suspension, he forfeits game checks and sure, it could hurt the team as well. But fining an owner is probably a drop in their very big financial bucket, so perhaps draft picks is the only way to go.
One interesting thing I did hear on NYC sports talk radio this weekend: why would an owner whose team plays in New England travel to a random strip mall in Florida for these services, when they could theoretically buy the company of any high-price (and likely less-risky) engagement they want? It means that this particular place must have had a very strong appeal for a specific reason, or set of reasons, to warrant the risk. And that's the creepy and maybe disgusting part if your mind wanders.

This is a misdemeanor but I guess additional punishment is warranted due to its effect on the NFL as a whole. Suggested punishment---ban Mr. Kraft from X number of games--I don't know Mr. Kraft but my guess is that he's a bon vivant who revels in playing the host at Patriot games. Missing a few games would make him think twice about playing the old fool again.
