That would be A slap on the wrist Forfeiting draft picks is a far bigger deterrent if that is what is desired

This is a misdemeanor but I guess additional punishment is warranted due to its effect on the NFL as a whole. Suggested punishment---ban Mr. Kraft from X number of games--I don't know Mr. Kraft but my guess is that he's a bon vivant who revels in playing the host at Patriot games. Missing a few games would make him think twice about playing the old fool again. He might think twice, but he would still BE an "old fool" so what good would that do? Lose some draft picks and it might get his attention.

It would be unprecedented to pull pull draft picks for non-football related actions

As far as I know, these crimes are unprecedented for an owner. What punishment fits the crimes ?

Make his team play with fully inflated footballs.

Jim Irsay - owner of the Colts - was arrested in 2014 for driving under the influence and felony possession of controlled substance (and he had $29,000 cash in a brief case when arrested). He tested positve for oxycodone and hydrocodone in his system at the time of his arrest. He pled guilty to 1 misdemeanor of driving under the influence. Don't think the felony charges were brought.
He was fined $500,000 and suspended for 6 games.
You can debate who's offense was more severe, it seems to me the penalty for Kraft will be in this ball park

To a billionaire, a fine of that magnitude means absolutely nothing

Perhaps not, but from everything I have heard, that is the most the NFL can fine him and the precedent for a suspension due to a misdemeanor violation of the law by an owner has been set. He could be suspended for more than 6 games, but I seriously doubt any draft picks will be lost due to that precedent.

I'm guessing the NFL can't take away draft picks in this case since it doesn't involve anything related to on-field play/competition.

it may depend upon what the other owners think of Kraft

I'm sure there's some kind of morality clause in place, but I think the owners will be careful to push for additional punishment because the shoe could be on the other foot at some point.

Just for argument's sake, why wouldn't the soccer franchise, the Revs, also be penalized as well???

Nevah a big fan of Bob....very good businessman but hardly a saint. Myra (thanks for the Dinand renovation) kept him grounded...he's been sort of out of control since her death imo..."late life crisis" with the supposed gf, trying to be a man about town etc. Kraft-Hiatt Professor in Judaic Studies In addition to Kraft-Hiatt funds for programming and scholarship, the gift from the Kraft and Hiatt families endows a professor in Judaic studies at Holy Cross. A similar chair, the Myra and Robert Kraft and Jacob Hiatt Professor of Christian Studies, was created at Brandeis University.

Thanks Myra himself will be hit somehow. MLS may very well slap him too, but since comparatively very few give a rat's ass about soccer, it's not on anyone's radar.

I really got a laugh when Dan Shaughnessy revealed that Bob and Jonathan's seats in the owner's box have been made camera ready with raised chairs and special lighting. "The high chairs" he calls them.
However, I wouldn't mind RKK being named the next AD at HC if he needs a project during his suspension. He knows how to hire a great coach.
