If Cleveland State can't afford Parker, what will they do...put a classified ad in the Cleveland Plain Dealer? Regardless of which option they take, everyone in the BB world will know about the opening.

A school later on the carousel than HC Even more interesting is they fired the entire staff and have brought in a former player whose a local coach to over see things.

The CSU AD unloaded on Felton in his statement. There had to either be recruiting violations or some other internal scandal (i.e. Me Too) to prompt such a harsh statement.

For those who have a hard time keeping track of all the different jobs, this is not a coaching position. Can help the head coach but cannot recruit and can't coach players directly, either in practice or during games. The next rule Will Wade follows would be the first. The rule that only the three full-time assistants are allowed to coach players is followed by about 0% of teams. There is some truth to that - but only some. At least a few teams have been sanctioned for violating this rule and it is very easy to get caught, given the number of disgruntled players and coaches who change teams every year.

Am I an ignorant man to believe that this doesn’t go on in leagues like the Patriot, Ivy, America East, Northeast Conference etc?

Several of CSU's best players unexpectantly entered the transfer portal in the last few werks. This is extremely late for that to happen. Speculation that Felton suddenly lost the support of the players which forced AD to act.
