Nice write-up. Fond memories. The #1 2011 UConn Huskies ran off eleven straight post season wins against strong competition. UConn must have erected a statue of the coach of that team somewhere on campus.

Wasn't this decade (2008) but I think the most famous is still Georgia winning the SEC including having to play a doubleheader due to the Georgia Dome being damaged by a tornado.

So that was Calhoun's last title. I was thinking it was the fellow who replaced him who filed a lawsuit against UConn a few years after he won it all and I was trying to make a quip about the follies of big time college sports.
Calhoun gives back to the community, too. The basketball court at the New YMCA in Putnam, CT. is named the Calhoun Court, so he must have donated and/or fund raised for them.
