While I like and support Coach Chesney, he should not be using the P word in communications which are posted. I hear the P word in common parlance and even on tv and radio. It is grating. Exercise a higher standard in speech also. FWIW.

Seriously? You're offended by the "P" word being used by a football coach in a weight room or locker room? Wow.

Say what you want about FHCTG but this bush league language wouldn't be uttered in his program. I am willing to give Coach Chez a pass (this time only) but gaining a little class would go a long way IMHO.

Hey guys - just so I understand - are we talking about the words "pissed off"? That can't be what we are talking about here. Normally I try to stick to mostly recruiting, but if we are talking about "pissed off" then I definitely have quite an issue with this. That's the world we are talking about now? Where someone gets upset about those words? Yikes.
They are said in every day life across every gym, locker room, playing field in the nation. If there is a P word in there that I missed then I reserve the right to be corrected, but if it's what I just stated above then I am simply speechless.
I think we are taking ourselves a little bit too seriously if that's the case. Just a touch. FWIW. IMHO. Whatever other acronym we want to slap on it at the end.

I listened a second time to see what the P word was, thinking it was one of a few very handful from the Pantheon of P curses, and it actually didn’t hit me that it was “pissed.” At first I thought it was the word “program,” and that it was a sarcastic comment as if HC football doesn’t deserve to call itself a program.
I wish I was more pissed off when I played football at HC. I often think not being pissed off enough was a problem shared by too many over the last 25 years.
So the P “word” is actually a P “phrase.” Got it. Maybe I’m slow - too many hits to the head. Yeah, let’s ban football, as well as all P words.

I find Joe's post very revealing - when he says 'not being pissed off enough was a problem...' - I have often thought that this was a problem with the kids in our program. Given our very mediocre results over the last couple of decades, I think playing with 'an attitude' has been missing and Chesney knows it !

How about this: if I found my football coach saying "peeved" instead of "pissed off" I'd want him fired on the spot.

My nickname by my position coach for the majority of the 2005 season was " co@ksuc#er". I worked my way up to my actual name which was a huge accomplishment.
I am thankful every day for my experience at HC and wouldn't change anything. I am tired of the feel good, passive aggressive, politically correct circus that we live in today.

Anyone offended by the words "pissed off" should never leave the house, nevermind attend a football game. Jeesh!

"The Holy Cross football team will to hold its first spring practice session of 2019 on Tuesday, March 12."
Sounds like the writer first wrote a headline "The Holy Cross football team will to hold its first spring practice session of 2019 on Tuesday, March 12."
Then it was decided to have a shorter headline "Football Team Set To Start Spring Practice". So the writer then moved the too-long headline to the body of the piece and added "will" to make the headline into a sentence. but forgot to delete the one, heinous word, "to", that made the sentence grammatically incorrect.
In any case, the sentence has been corrected on the athletics website.
So, the problem has been corrected and we may have an explanation for how it happened. All that remains to be done is to identify the miscreant responsible and administer the appropriate punishment for the offense. May God have mercy on his/her soul.

From the TV3 video, looked to be five quarterbacks dressed. Degenhardt looks really tall, towers over the OC. Scott looked quick on a running play. Only Scott and Clifford were shown running a play.

Scott looked very fast there but did not look like the listed 6-4.
Who was # 21 catching the pass out of the backfield? No #21 on the roster
