AU was founded by a Methodist Bishop and chartered by Congress. Lehigh was founded by a Railroad Baron. So if we make the finals, a game on St. Patrick's Day would favor us.

There is zero doubt this team wants to play for Coach AM, and not so when Gibbons was in charge. Something was missing with the motivation of his last few teams, hard to explain but there is no question about it.

I appreciate the highlight video (with music sound track) but there is no mention of how HC got the ball back after tying the score. What, exactly, happened that allowed HC to get that winning 2 points?

What, exactly, happened that allowed HC to get that winning 2 points? Nelson (great player) went to the hoop on a drive and missed, Manis got the rebound. HC then had a 3 point attempt by Faulkner miss at around 10 seconds, but Oluchi got the rebound. HC called time out then Faulkner won it with her drive to the hoop. The play-by-play on the stat sheet doesn't have a shot attempt by BU on their final possession (they had the ball w/2 seconds left). I would think that means that the shot that was taken off the inbounds pass came after the buzzer, which is the way it looked to me anyway.

I believe that is correct. If made, the shot would not have counted (probably ).

As these refs were consistently inconsistent, who knows. I actually thought they called a good game, but It seemed like HC was the beneficiary of a number of non-calls in the last 2 mins or so.

Faulkner’s last second shot was close to a charge. The defender went down hard and did not appear to be a flop. It’s common that refs swallow their whistles in that situation and that’s a good thing

That was one of them, as was the non-call on Manis for over the top on the Ezemma free throw miss and the non-call on Smith on the Nelson drive with about 40 sec left.

However the absence of a shot attempt on the play-by-play doesn't really mean anything, since a long forced attempt like that is not supposed to be scored as a shot attempt. ;; Sometimes inexperienced scorers get it wrong, but that definitely should not have been scored as a shot had it beat the buzzer.
