When we were stuck at 4, we shot 1-20 before making the 21st attempt to get to 6, this included many layups. Bucknell very physical but early on most of the calls were against us, no surprise playing there. Still coach had no answer, and waited a long time before finally calling a time out. She seemed as out of it as the players did.

So because you once played for HC, that makes you an expert to be consulted on the direction of the program - it's thinking like that I find totally uninformed. Those ladies (who for the most part were winners) are on to their careers and families, and probably have a pro-Gibbons bias from the 'good 'ol days' - things have gone downhill and professionals should be brought in to make some hard decisions. If they somehow retain BG, I will be very disappointed - he simply does not deserve it on account of his teams' performance in the last 10 years or so. This job should be opened up to a national search immediately.

Otherwise, by all means, I wouldn't want former players judging him. OTOH, "national searches" are a crock.

Well the most interesting part of this saga is about to begin.... BG is scheduled to return once the season is over So, the students are back from break and is Gibbons back too? Anyone know?

A Dan Shaughnessy line comes to mind: "It's a big bowl of awkward."
Hoping for a graceful transition for everyone to whatever the new reality will be. I think I posted nine fond memories of BG on other threads. Number ten would be the fundraising bowling outings.
Not that I ever went to one, but I appreciate the approach. For years I would get pitches to buy tickets to fundraising golf tournaments for several non-profits. The price would always be in the three figures. One year I emailed back everyone and said why don't you also have a reasonably priced bowling or miniature golf outing for those that don't have all day to play and/or extra Benjamins to give away.
BG was the only one who actually offered a reasonably priced bowling outing and I am sure each one was fun and raised a few bucks.

FL ST 70-67, sporty show by the Bison. Had two open 3-point shots in the final seconds that they missed. Definitely could have won this one.

Bison had two open 3’s in the last seconds to tie it - great show by the league today with Colgate’s performance as well

Bucknell's strong showing is validation of the direction of HC WBB. Although the Crusaders got trounced at Bucknell in the PLT, on a good day at home they nipped the Bison late in the season which is something to build on.

I flew out of the Harrisburg, PA Airport on Wednesday, and they had "Welcome Bucknell Bison" and beat "Florida State" signs all over. I guess they were flying out later that day. Cool.
