Looking just at verbal commits, I'm not seeing a lot of names out there for PF/C types for PL schools for either 2020 or 2021. Are there players we should be targeting?

I think we're in the '... HC is interested in you if you are interested in us'...phase

Carmody filling a roster of undersized players and shooters he will never coach is further tanking this program. Marcus Blossom is the guard at the gate of the HC scholarship pile. Or at least he should be as I understand it.

Relax guys.
We’re talking about kids who just finished their sophomore year of high school. Any scholarships offered now will in all likelihood not be acted upon by the kids until next August. Even then, they will be non-binding decisions. If there’s a change in staff it will come next March in plenty of time for a new staff to adjust and recruit to their preferred style of play.

While true it's unlikely we'll sign any of these kids this year, a new staff will be behind the eight ball having to recruit 6 players as soon as they step foot on campus. The ideal situation would have seen a new staff on board this year laying the groundwork for the big recruiting effort that will be needed next year.

Didn't look at the service academies - or at 2021, for that matter - but here's a look at the incoming 2019 PF/Cs and 2020 PF/C offers on VC, for the other seven schools in the conference.
American. 2019 - Kelton Samore, 6-9 PF. 2020 - Seven open offers to PFs, three to Cs BU. 2020 - Three offers to PFs. Bucknell. 2019 - Malachi Rhodes, 6-8 PF; Jake van der Heijden, 6-8 PF; Alex Timmerman, 6-9 C. 2020 - One open offer to a PF. Colgate. 2019 - Malachi Bailey, 6-9 PF; Keegan Records, 6-9 C. 2020 - One open offer to a PF. Lafayette. 2019 - Neal Quinn, 7-0 C. 2020 - Two open offers to PFs. Lehigh. 2020 - Four open offers to PFs. Loyola. 2019 - Santi Aldama, 6-11 PF; Golden Dike, 6-8 PF. 2020 - Five offers to PFs, two to Cs.
In sum, nine incoming freshman PF/C, and twenty-eight open offers to 2020 PF/C.

The ideal situation would have seen a new staff on board this year laying the groundwork for the big recruiting effort that will be needed next year. On the other hand, a change in staff several months ago may have resulted in us losing several promising recruits that will enter in the fall. If there is a change next Spring, it will only immediately impact one recruit. If there is a new staff there is nothing that says one member from the current staff can't be held over to lessen the impact on recruiting for 2021. I would also hope 1-2 scholarships would be held over to the following year so balancing out the roster could begin.

Based on your thinking we should have kept MB and wouldn't have lost Proctor, Kostecka and possibly Hahn. Very flawed thinking to keep a lousy coach because you're afraid to lose a recruit. Nobody knows how good or bad these recruits are or will be, we do know about the coach.

I know it's a bit of a crapshoot since as you point out we don't know how good the latest class of recruits will be but I still believe next spring will be a better time to make a change. It's a moot point anyways since HC wasn't about to eat the last year of an alleged 300,000 contract per season.

Sidwell Friends School? If he passed muster with the Secret Service there shouldn't be any surprises in his background.
