Our athletic department folks ought to be able to include the recaps of the previous season for both our returning players and the newcomers. How difficult would it be, for example, to fill out the senior season high school highlights for the four signees? A quick email to the coaches/ad's of the four high schools would get it done in a couple of days, wouldn't it? It seems that every year for all sports we always have the HS highlights only through junior year.

A good example is the sophomores. According to their bios they all leaped from high school to sophomores and didn't play basketball their freshman year. Do they lay off the communication staff over the summer so they can't add the previous season to the player bios on the website? That actually wouldn't be a bad idea and would allow the young communication pros to hook on with a MLB or minor league baseball or MLS Soccer team and build their experience and resume, but I doubt that happens.

It might not happen as quickly as a few information starved fans would like, but it will happen. Probably in the fall and will also include updated heights and weights after a summer of weightroom workouts

Is it a young team with only one senior? or a veteran team with 6 juniors?

Good question. I'll go with veteran team as most of our juniors have been playing together since freshmen year.

If our veterans are all healthy it could be a good two year run.

Hope they control the paint during the next two years. Wishful thinking by me. Not going to happen from the returning big men none of whom play like big men.

Agree with this idea for sure, also equally as confused as to how we plan to play D1 basketball without a true big man. I see little chance of success anytime in the short to intermediate term with HC basketball.

Agreed! Get that state of Massachusetts outline off the court! In total agreement about that ridiculous rorschach outline of Massachusetts. Why not a a purple basketball with bold white stripes interrupted with white HC letters or vice versa, at center court. Why not? Because when a game (or more likely a highlight) from the Hart Center is seen in Topeka and people ask, "Where is Holy Cross?", the answer will be fairly obvious. Also for most people who saw the movie and think it's the school across the street from Notre Dame it gives a pretty good clue to the answer to the question, "Didn't Rudy go to Holy Cross?" About other issues with HC athletics raised on this board, on several occasions, HC92 has said, "on the list of issues to fix at Holy Cross this one ranks around 100." As for the Massachusetts outline at center court, I'd think it's closer to issue 500 to fix. Also when someone nails a shot from really deep, the map provides a nice point of reference ... he hit that one from from the Vineyard or Stockbridge!

You seem to believe that people outside of New England have even a clue about the shape of Massachusetts. ...as to Vineyard or Stockbridge, they don't have any idea. The map would serve a purpose if it brought more Mass fans who identified with it to the Hart, but that does not seem to be the case. Those "old fans" from times past would, IMHO, make a stringer connection to the classic "Crusader" that they saw for so many decades. (...and a shot might come from the tip of the lance, or the tail of the baler with just as much meaning as a geography reference.)

Agree with RGS, this will not be obvious to people in Topeka or Tupelo or Toledo or the Twin Cities.
I don't have a major problem with the map of Massachusetts but it really doesn't serve the purpose you think it does. At least not from my experience traveling around the country for many years.
But I recognize and accept that before we see a Crusader back on midcourt there will have to be a change in the Administration . . . . . which can't happen soon enough for me.

Agree with RGS, this will not be obvious to people in Topeka or Tupelo or Toledo or the Twin Cities. The good people in the Twin Cites of Fitchburg and Leominster Massachusetts, disagree. The Vineyard and Stockbridge comments were more about fans of the school using that to describe a shot, not the person in Topeka. And note the smiley faces. And yes, I know the vast majority of people in Topeka (or anywhere else outside of the northeast) likely have no clue what the state of Massachusetts looks like, but they know that map in the Hart Center is NOT Indiana and if it communicates where the school is located to a few people and prompts a few more folks to find out it's a bonus. Main point was ... that's about #500 on the list of things to change/improve.
