The heralded recruiting class of 3 years ago has one more shot to get to the dance.

The one frosh, Ledlum, is pretty highly thought of as well.

Not sure what they have coming back, but CAA champ Northeastern will also be at the Hart this winter.

Harvard has apparently been loaded every year with top recruiting classes and big expectations...but they haven't finished inside the KenPom top 100 since 2015, which was also their last time in the NCAA Tournament.
Maybe Tommy Amaker will put it together in 2019-20.

I believe the last time they were ranked in the preseason top 25, they ran into Malcolm and the Boys at the TD Garden (where Eric Green locked down on Wesley Saunders on the final shot of the game).

If bigfan was right earlier about Providence coming to the DCU, you've got the makings of a pretty competitive home schedule (PC, Harvard, Northeastern).

I know under the Willard reign that PC offered HC either a 2 for 1, with the one being at the DCU or two "pay" games. That info was from both the HC side and my contact at PC who was dating the PC basketball scheduler. Willard chose the latter as I believe the timing was that he wanted the new Hart floor and Dick Regan essentially said "fine, you pay for it." I may well be wrong but don't recall Ralph being too keen on playing in the DCU anyway as I think he didn't feel it was much of a home court advantage. Not sure how Carmody feels and/or what Nate thought. Will be interesting to see what Blossom's philosophy will be.

I'm hoping that my friend was correct. He stated that he had heard that the Friars were coming to the DCU Center this coming season. Maybe someone at the basketball office can confirm if the game is on the schedule. Sometimes a game is scheduled and then one of the teams backs out as they have a better offer from some other team or conference for a TV game.

I bet HC had to make it lucrative for PC to come, as they could have as many fans as HC at the DCU.

I did but it's dead. I haven't worked with the young lady for over 5 years but did see her last year. The PC scheduler had left PC (forgot where he went), the relationship ended and she married someone else. While their relationship lasted, it was a very good inside source. If it is a true 2 for 1, maybe not too bad. As for fans, Rhode Islanders don't travel well. You have to recognize the geography. DCU is in a whole other state!! (And, yes, that's another reason PawSox fans won't go all the way up 146 to watch their WooSox team. In addition to feeling betrayed like Baltimore felt about the Colts).

Outside of made for TV events, PC will leave town twice for OOC. PC plays at URI and vs Florida (not sure where that game is (might be neutral)
