Per the presentation in the Doran Auditorium during the reunion morning activities, it looks like MBB will play in the Boca Raton event on Thanksgiving weekend. First game vs. Florida Atlantic. No mention of the other two teams. The lads will also play at University of San Diego this season.
I understand that Jim Donahue ‘69, President of St. Mary’s, was in town for Reunion. Should ADMB schedule a short hop up the coast for a second game as long as we’re out there?

No mention of the other two teams. The lads will also play at University of San Diego this season. This sounds like a regularly scheduled game at FAU, which is located in Boca Raton. Is that not the case? I'm curious because FAU has never hosted a Boca Raton event in the past.

USD coming off of a 21-15 season, with a NIT loss to Memphis. Member of the WCC. Lose a lot of seniors. FAU, meanwhile, finished at 17-16, competing in Conference USA. Wins included one over Tacko Falls' UCF, and a win at Illinois. Don't seem to lose at much as San Diego. Probably two competitive opponents. Wonder if there will be additional games on these trips.
If there is no exempt tourney, there should be 11 OOC games. Based on feedback:
HOME
Northeastern Harvard
AWAY
Siena Canisius Sacred Heart (my guess) St Bonaventure Florida Atlantic San Diego
Money game or 2 to come?

As I posted a month ago, there will be 2 games in the FAU tourney, and a 3rd game in FL is being sought to play while there.

Must be a new tourney There was none last season at FAU It's all very confusing, at least to me, hoops. But I believe that all of this has something to do with what was to be this year's Belfast classic. As actp suggests, go back and read the St. Bona thread. Right now it's not clear what the Belfast classic is, where it will be played, and which teams will be participating. Boca has been mentioned as the likely location. The original teams rumored were Bona, San Diego, UIC, and FAU ("home bracket") and Binghamton, Canisius, Mercer, and Loyola, MD ("away" bracket). Since then, it has been suggested that Hofstra and the Cross are participants. There may be other rumors floating about. I think we'll just have to wait and see for now.

Just had breakfast with a colleague who is a former trustee at St. Bona who follows their bball program closely. Without my bringing up the subject of their upcoming schedule, he said they are playing in a tourney around Thanksgiving at FAU in Boca - so that's where we may play them and doubt we'll be going to Olean (which is ok with me)

The rumored bracket for Bona in this tournament includes San Diego, FAU and UI Chicago. If that's the case, Bona will play two games in Boca against two of these three. They would also play two other opponents at home. If there is a game against HC, it will likely be in Olean.

I would have lobbied him this weekend when were were touring the Luth together!

Give me the old fashioned, 4 or 8 team tournaments, one site, round robin...….these ones give me a popsicle headache.

Will host Northeastern in November: Aside from missing a marquee opponent or two, that's an excellent OOC schedule. I am jealous.

They're participating in the Ft. Myers Tip Off. That means they will have road games at two of the following: K-State, Pitt, Northwestern and Bradley.

If Old Dominion is coming to Boston in November, I wonder if HC could convince Jeff Jones to make a stop in Worcester.

If HC is flying all the way out to San Diego, they may as well see if they can get a game with a Bay Area school (USF, St. Mary's, Pacific, etc) to give Jacob Grandison a "home" game, though the home schedule looks awfully light at this point

Not that I would recognize all of the parents, but I think he's there more than some with shorter commutes
