A little over a year and a half ago I was self touring the LAC and noticed two young women - one imparticular - in beautiful figure skating costumes performing advanced routines on the Hart rink. They were quite good.
AIR, there was a story about them as entering frosh and their training toward an Olympic team spot. I haven't heard or read anything since....anyone ?

I would have expected to see something by now. Hopefully they are progressing well in their training.

Frank Carroll '60, the great Olympic figure skating coach competed in the Junior US National Figure Skating Championships while a student at Holy Cross. He won bronze and silver medals in 1959 and 1960. He could show these young ladies how to do a sow cow.

I don't know, I can't jump on or off skates😊. But yes, when you Google sow cow, it is spelled salchow. I love figure skating in the Olympics. When Nancy Kerrigan got whacked in the knee it dominated the news and Sports talk radio around Boston for weeks. Now that new multi rink facilities have been built in Worcester and Marlborough, I assume rental demand for the Hart Center rink is lessened. Holy Cross would have the ice facility time available on campus if they wanted to start a figure skating program of some kind. If minor sports in general attract full pay applicants, figure skating is really the sport of Kings and Queens so that could help the bottom line.
I know some schools field teams in very minor sports such as equestrian, gymnastics, skiing, sailing. I never heard of collegiate figure skating but I bet it exists somewhere.

Just googled college figure skating teams. BC, BU, Brandeis all popped up just in the B's. Who knew?

Just googled college figure skating teams. BC, BU, Brandeis all popped up just in the B's. Who knew? Figure skating is generally not a varsity sport These are all club teams that offer their members a chance to compete under the U.S. Figure Skating umbrella.. There are four somewhat unusual winter sports that have varsity status within the NCAA: bowling, rifle, skiing, and fencing. Two of the others you mentioned above - equestrian and sailing - have college associations separate from the NCAA.

Bison, when HC BB played at Boston U. this season it was Club Sports night and the assorted club athletes were loud raucous and some shirtless all night. If there were 300 they sounded like 3,000. I assume any figure skating club members attending were more gentlemanly and ladylike, but it showed what a thriving club sports scene the Terriers have despite dropping FB and Baseball as varsity sports.
