“Even if I had waited longer it was going to be Holy Cross,” says Niego of the timing of his decision to commit. “So I didn’t see any reason to wait. I couldn’t pass it up.” That's what I love to hear from a committed recruit. I also like that he was said to play a "blue collar" style of basketball.

Way to go '92! Certainly speaks well of our recruit CN! Seems like Coach Carmody and his staff have gotten us some "shootahs" as one of our postahs would say! Time will tell, but I'm liking what I'm seeing! Hoping for another trip to the big dance next year!!!

Fantastic stories--unbelieveable that the four brothers scored all the team's points in an NCAA game,
Which brother is the father of Connor and Harrison.

It's not much but here's a brief blurb on Niego's team in a Sun Times article about teams expected to improve this year:
• Lyons (9-18)
Saying “Lyons will improve” after going 9-18 and finishing last in conference play isn’t exactly going out on a limb. But this is a team that could reverse last year’s record and even entertain a worst-to-first scenario in the West Suburban Silver.
Holy Cross commit Connor Niego (16 ppg, 9 rpg), a 6-8 senior forward and top 25 prospect in the Class of 2017, 6-4 senior Nolan Niego (10 ppg) and promising sophomore guard Tyrese Shines all return. A 20-win season after just nine wins a year ago is possible.

Game 2 Another 30+ point win Another .Connor stat stuffer 19 pts, 7 rebs, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks Tonight the championship of the tourney 3 games in 3 nights, even the NBA does not do that his soph cousin, Nolan, led the team in scoring both games, shooting 10-11 last night

It looks like there are 8 teams in the tourney with two groups of 4 teams. I think the Championship round is Saturday.

Correct, 92 Connor led his team to a close win, 41-39, with 15 pts, 11 rebs, 3 blocks and 1 assist. As 92 said, they now play in Saturday's championship.

Impressive video, especially the large training space with lined track and various courts permanently marked. Thanks, hoops.
