When I look back at the freshmen years from the classes of 2018, 2019, and 2020, I thought there would be one slam dunk 1000 point guy and a decent chance of two others. Although the book isn't closed on the class of 2020, I'm thinking we're looking at 3 consecutive classes without a 1000 point scorer. With this kind of prediction success, maybe I should be a weatherman
1) When was our most recent 3 year drought without a class graduating with a 1000 point scorer?
2) When was our most recent drought of more than 3 years?

Scoring one thousand points isn't nearly what it used to be and hasn't been for a long time. If you stay healthy and get reasonable playing time early on, you can average about 9 points for your career of roughly 120 games and join the the 1,000 point club.

Tough to read the record book, but I think it's the classes of 98,99,00 and 01.

Tom will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the objective is to try to come up with the answer without reading the record book.

Great question. I could not make a solid stab at it without cheating, so I looked through the archives for the answer. I'll let others give it a try.
In 2021 we have a 90% chance of graduating 3 1,000 point scorers and possibly 4 if Matt Faw can avoid injury and average 10 points per game.

Too depressing to even want to try an answer. Tom, don't you have some work you have to do?

"What Holy Cross class had four 1,000 point scorers who never played on a team with a winning record?"

Tough to read the record book, but I think it's the classes of 98,99,00 and 01. That is correct for question #2. Between Chris Rojik '97 and RyanSerravalle '02, no one accomplished that feat. As Bob pointed out, my random Friday in summer trivia is more about letting people show off their stores of useless knowledge rather than research skills. Also a summer diversion that gets people thinking back and sparks some fun tangents question #1 is still unanswered
