FIU throttled UMess yesterday by a score of 44-0. Yes, the FIU that UNH hung around with for three quarters a few weeks back.

JMU beat stony brook last night 45-38 in OT in front of a capacity crowd of 13000 on L.I. Wouldn’t it be great if we can approach that level of fcs play.

Off to a 2-0 start but the next four ganes they will likely be underdogs: @ Stony Brook @ Delaware BYE Villanova @ JMU If they can win two of those and take care of business against Albany and Maine to finish the season, they are almost certainly playoff-bound. Of course, they are still currently in the hunt for theit conference title at the moment. UNH off toa nice start in the CAA but I just dont see them as a team as capable as most that they have fielded dating back to Santos' days at QB. Rooting for them as their success makes us look better.

SBU is rebuilding after graduating top talent (QB, top 3 RBs, linebackers, etc.) and making the playoffs the last two years but they have speed all over the place and found a mobile QB with a pretty good arm. Here's an 18-second clip of their QB in action v URI last week (note time and score): Since SBU and UNH both beat URI by narrow margins one might think next week's game (SBU v UNH) would be close, but UNH seemed a bit slow-footed v us and that is a recipe for disaster v a team like SBU. As far as UNH is concerned, I don't think their true frosh QB had a very good day (135 passing yards, 0 yards rushing, 3 Interceptions, 1 TD) but their D snagged 5 turnovers v Elon (including 2 pick-sixes). When we played UNH they were sharing time between QBs and they may want to revisit their QB decision.
