The 33-2 Colgate-Bucknell spread is mind-boggling.

Bucknell is awful....it's actually amazing how bad they've been in football since 2000 or so...they simply don't care about football

Some of their biggest wins have been at the expense of Holy Cross.

And it was the one and only time I went to Bucknell and watch a game football or basketball. Almost as disappointing as the loss to Colgate in Hamilton in 1968.

I remember as a young William & Mary fan, they got bulldozed by the Tribe like 49-0. I think it was the 1996 season. They had a decent run in the late 90s....best season evah was 10-1 in 1997. I really very casually followed HC football from 1992 to about 2005 or so, so I don't remember that Bison squad. Historically they have been mostly average to bad dating back to the 1940s or so. They were "small college" and D2 post WW2 to the late 1970s when they became 1-AA. Football at Bucknell just doesn't seem to be a fabric of their school to the extent it is/was at HC or Colgate for instance.

We had already clinched the PL autobid the week prior but still was a bad loss. Certainly was not a "Week 17 in the NFL and we're resting our starters" kind of game. At the time we were playing for the very outside shot of a home game in the Round of 16. If anything, finishing 10-1 would've made it more difficult for the NCAA committee to send us to top seeded Villanova.
