Wow, this was a pleasant surprise. We have had early success in past seasons but this needs to be carried through the AHA schedule. Great win!

Looked it up. October 15, 2016. HC 2, #11 Providence 1 (OT). HC scores a third period goal to tie it at 1 and then won it in OT.

Providence beat Maine 7-0 in a game played prior to our win against PC.

Following our rules of logic here on Crossports, , , , , , , that would mean that Maine is really bad at hockey, right?

While pairwise rankings fluctuate greatly during the season (much more than voters rankings), it is nice to see HC sitting at #5 in the country today. For those unfamiliar with how these rankings are calculated, explanation is at the end. www.uscho.com/rankings/pairwise-rankings/d-i-men/

4 minute package of highlights from Friday's game - enjoy ! (why can I find these but the HC sid office can't to post on our site ?) As I've said before, these things have nothing to do with the SID staff. It's the responsibility of the the staffer responsible for digital strategy who manages the website. You can find the name on the website and ask that person why.

Tasks that were previously assumed to be under the analog, print model, 20 century responsibilities of an SID have changed. Just as major corporations operate a different organizational model from 10, 20 or 30 years ago.
College and university D1 Athletic Departments have evolved in their strategic and tactical business models for operations, marketing, finance, fan engagement, digital strategy, facilities to separate responsibilities that are based on a need for their institution. Until recently Holy Cross was mired in inertia in not recognizing and implementing a 21st century, operating model for the Athletics. Go on the web sites for Patriot League, Ivy League, A10, schools and you can see how they operate. Needless to say, P6 conference schools are even more staff intensive regarding their needs for digital strategy to meet the needs for network affiliations and data transmission.
I worked for a major fortune 100 company that every fall went through a series of reorganizations that the stated purpose was to increase efficiency. Many of us were cynical regarding their rationale was to satisfy the street and institutional investors regarding their agility as a company.
