What’s going on with Colgate is the story of the season. I cannot recall a Raider team sinking this low. It’s bad for the league, but Hunt didn’t suddenly forget how to coach. So right now, it’s HC versus Georgetown for the lead. Very odd that Lafayette will not play a league game until next week but they aren’t a threat to anybody yet. Gate is coming back.
Update: No, they aren’t.

Fordham leads Georgetown by 2 late in the 3rd Q. While a Georgetown loss would certainly help HC...let's hope it is not needed.

Perhaps Bucknell is a bit better than some said when HC beat them...BUT I can't figure out whet is happening/has happened to the Raiders. I just hope they don't turn it around in two weeks.

Was watching Bucknell/Colgate as well as our game and while Bucknell looked quicker today, you need to ask how much Colgate lost from last year

The biggest danger in the PL is for any team to look past any other team. No team can be taken for granted.

Last year Colgate had a strong D, wonderful quarterbacking, and lots of things bounce their way in their middling OOC.(Beating us by a slim margin was one of their lucky breaks IMHO)
This year they lost many of their best D players, have had their injured QB miss some games (he looked banged up today) and played a much tougher OOC with no lucky breaks. (More than one of us here on Crossports predicted an 0-5 start for Colgate...but I never imagined winless including a solid loss to Bucknell at this point.)

Georgetown and Fordham were both 0-0 in the PL entering the game. Those who follow the Patriot League know that HC and Georgetown tied for second last year. This year Georgetown has a good record (against weaker teams than HC) but we even have a poster who has said that Georgetown is the "favorite." Until Fordham beat them, I would have thought that it was between HC and Georgetown.

Watched the last 2 quarters of the Georgetown game They are aggressive offensively with a very talented wideout, #5, Michael Derreus, and QB Johnson is solid

HC, knock on wood, has not been bitten by the injury bug this year.

HC, knock on wood, has not been bitten by the injury bug this year. Which speaks to the importance of the staff playing the younger players now they are building depth for the program

Wasn't that what you were doing with your question? Sorry. I clearly.misunderstood.
It is just my opinion, but when teams are 0-0 in the PL, how they finished last year is clearly a factor in trying to compare them. Last year's record is also why the play of Colgate seems so much of an aberration this year.

Yale though, blown out at Dartmouth 42-10 Navy beating Tulsa 28-10 So UNH is 4-2 including 3-0 in the CAA. That brings to mind this gem below from our old friend 4Crusader3 after the UNH game "In all honesty, I think UNH struggles to win 3 games this year and has a tough time in the CAA. That's not meant to take anything away from HC, just an observation."
