So much to catch up on since lunch time ... hchoops - Geez, who do you think you are bison137 counting scouting as attending an HC game! (I kid ... both of you) sader 1970 - Yes, I am still gainfully employed. Started the work last night finished it off at lunch. Copy & paste into excel is a powerful & quick. hc87 - Case vs. Roof. What Tom said. The old BU hockey rink (Walter Brown Arena) is in the same building as Case. Are you saying they played on a court on top of the ice at Walter Brown Arena? Everybody else - will add to the master list and post later. Will also try to look up as many arena names as possible. Yes, BU played hoop at Walter Brown for a few years....believe we lost the 83 ECAC North final there one year Was that the Northeastern game where Perry Moss hit a 3/4 court heave at the buzzer to win the game? Northeastern was coached by a guy named Calhoun.

It would really help our quest for 100 if George Blaney became a poster Will ask but unlikely- perhaps one of the kids will I was jesting. However, I expect that Coach Blaney has seen HC play in more gyms than all of us combined and could get to the 100 mark by himself

Despite the numbers listed, we're up to 94 venues where we've collectively seen HC mens basketball play. I asterisked the 2 St. Francis Brooklyn venues hchoops submitted since they were only scouting trips and I assume Holy Cross was not playing in them. However, since folks started referencing the numbers to ID venues they've been to and didn't want to lose that, I left the numbering in tact. New venues since yesterday are in bolded purple below. I think if we keep at it, we'll get over 100. Here's what I was able to compile as a master list of what's been posted so far. 86 venues by my count. With a couple of questions (RGS & hchoops see below at Seton Hall & & St. Francis Brooklyn) Let me know if I missed any. In some cases just listed the name of the school in others also have the gym/arena name. May go back and add the gym name if I have time Sorted by State then alphabetically by school/arena name. We have all current PL gyms except Loyola accounted for - though I suspect dadominate may fill-in that blank. Not the Gardens, the game was at a small arena on campus. I did see U Cincinnati play Xavier at the Gardens.

Did a little research ...
If the Xavier year was 1981, it was in Schmidt Fieldhouse as Xavier didn't start playing in the Cincinnati Gardens until 1983-84 season.
As to BU playing in Walter Brown Arena ... BU played there in the 1982-83 season and then again from 1985-86 thru 1992-93. Interestingly enough, Holy Cross only played there once in that 1982-83 season. The ECAC North tourney was at Matthews arena that year. Holy Cross Joined the MAAC the next season and didn't play BU again until January 1995.

Two more venues not yet listed.
Hampton, VA for a nice road win in the later RW years. November 2007 if I had to guess. AVB got bloodied in the face and NAD, knowing I was at the game, called me to get eyewitness details so he could relay on CrossChat. I met Andy Sachs’ wife at this game.
RBC Center, now PNC arena, against NC State. Fr. McFarland, Dick Regan, Rose Shea, Alumni Director Kristyn Dyer, and others came down to NC for that one. Great floor seats but a bad game under FCSK.

Okay- my shot at it.
Mass- HC at the Aud, Hart, and DCU of course Assumption at Laska Northeastern- Matthews Arena (where we lost the 83 ECAC final to BU) Northeastern- Cabot Gym (site of Perry Moss' shot) BU- Sargent Gym (in 1971 before they moved to the West Campus) Case Gyn (the Roof) .***definitely saw some BU hoop games at Walter Brown Arena but do not remember any of them involving Holy Cross Did we play BU at Agganis evah? Umass- Curry Hicks Cage Springfield- the old gym with the Quonset Hut style roof like the fieldhouse Harvard- the infamous Indoor Athletic Building Lavietes Pavilion BC- both places Boston Gahden (original) TD Garden Springfield Civic Center- ECAC games and a couple regular season games against UMass.
NH- UNH- Lundholm Dartmouth- Old Memorial Gym (the place they play now might actually be in the same building, or next to it) Thompson Arena- they bought a floor and played there a couple years- this was the opener in 1978-9, a very disappointing loss.
Maine- Portland CC
Rhode Island- URI- Keaney Gym PC- Alumni Hall (the last season it was used regularly) The Dunk
Conn- UConn - original place Hartford Civic Center (Chris Potter beats PC!) Yale- their one and only gym Fairfield- Alumni Hall
NY- Syracuse- Manley Field House (did anyone have that one?) Rochester- War Memorial (has a different name now but still exists) Colgate- Cotterell Court Fordham- Rose Hill St. John's- Alumni Hall, now Carnesecca Arena Stony Brook- their little backup gym as the more modern one was being renovated (forever) Army- Christl Albany's arena MSG
NJ- Seton Hall - Walsh Auditorium
Tennessee - Stokely Center (replaced in the 90s,I think, but pretty good sized) So - 39- give me credit for the Spfld CC, the Dartmouth hockey rink, Manley Field House, Keaney Gym, Rochester and Tennessee. Plus my wife's alma mater, Stony Brook.

Thanks for the reindeer. I was official scorer for a game at Laska...and got into a bit of an argument about who should get credit for a tap in. It is nice to recall those days (and a bit sad to realize how many such games I have forgotten).
