The new Fordham Flash (sorry, Frankie Frisch fans) rushed for 126 today on 27 attempts and 3 tds, 150 all purpose yds, to overshadow Saquan Barkley’s return to the Giants. believe that is by far a career high. Good for him, Fordham and the PL.

I was at the game (and I am starting to finally dry out). Chase looked outstanding. y program was quickly turned to pulp, so I did not know who he was at the time.

Broadcasters on Fox mentioned the Fordham connection at least three times ‘3 time 1000 yard rusher’ etc...

First-ever NFL 100 yard rushing game by a Patriot League alum?
First ever RUSHING TOUCHDOWN by a PL alum?
The pitcher on my softball team is a RABID Fordham fan/alum and season ticket holder. I texted him today at the end of the first quarter "Fordham 14 Giants 0"

Very happy for Chase. He was a beast in the PL and a beast today in the NFL.

Prior to the PL being formed, these men would not be PL alums, would they?

Prior to the PL being formed, these men would not be PL alums, would they? Well, I'll leave it to the "semantics dept.".....having been a student at HC before and during the PL-era, where does that leave me? (Don't answer ) Just trying to bring a little history to some of our younger postahs, like nycru10, who may not have as much historical knowledge of HC and other PL schools football ovah the years.

I know about Fenerty's NFL career -- actually have a football card of his as a member of the Saints from 1991 or 1992. Was 95% certain he was Carter era / pre-PL which is why I asked the question.
Can we count David Robinson as a PL alum in the NBA?
How about Steph Curry? Davidson was a member of the Colonial League (in football) for about a day.
Thank you 87 for continuing to bring the golden years of Holy Cross football back to life. And did not know Colgate had a former RB in the NFL. I remember Jamaal Branch but don't think he made it past pre-season in 2004.

Heck, let's go back to the 1920's when Lafayette was winning National Championships and sending a couple of dozen guys to the NFL.....

'gate grads 40+ years ago, Mark VanEeghen and Marv Hubbard were two fine running backs who had successful NFL careers. I think there was a player named Gamble who also played in the NFL but not with the same level of success. Pats 33 - Jets 0 and it wasn't that close. Connor Degenhardt would have outplayed Sam Darnold tonight.

Played 15 games, one catch for 12 yards, no TDs. No disgrace, of course, he got there! Kalif did better than that, didn't he?

Eddie had very modest stats at Holy Cross with 660 rushing yards and 3.4 yards per carry and 25 receptions. It's hard to get a lot of touches when you have Joe Wilson on the team. Eddie scored 5 touchdowns at HC but I guess NFL scouts saw his versatility or athleticism.

Lehigh's Rabih Abdullah had a rushing TD for the Patriots in 2004. He also won a ring that year. Only PL alum to have one of those iirc.....

I remember reading a feature story about Eddie Jenkins' post football career in Boston many years ago. Could have been in the Globe or Herald or possibly Holy Cross Magazine or it's predecessor (Crossroads?).
In his office he had a priceless photo of the undefeated 1972 Dolphin Team with autographs of the players, but he had kept it in a sunny area of the office and it was faded and close to illegible, as I recall. Felt bad for him and the photo.

Why is this a thread?
Does Fordham have a Kalif Raymond, Jimmy Murray or Malcolm Miller thread?
