Fixed it for you before everyone - well one or two anyway- jumps on you. Thanks, I thought about that after I posted, but didn't get around to fix it Lucky thing you're not married to a school teacher

4-9 OOC 5-13 PL 0-1 PLT 9-23 Overall
The games against New Hampshire and Fairfield will be interesting as both of those teams are picked to finish last in their respective conferences and had RPI's in the 300's last year. If we don't have good showings in these games the OOC results could get real ugly.

I picked on the very low side (6-8 wins) simply because the challenges are so great and we've lost so much. I very much hope to be proven wrong.

I went with 9-11; influenced by the slight majority that is predicating double digit wins, which I think is too optimistic.

I went with 15 wins Thinking it was 13 but don’t like the number so I had a choice of going up or down -as the optimist decided to go up
4-9 OOC 9-9. PL 2-1. PLT
Actually think we could do as well as 11-7 in the league if things truly break our way as the team develops an identity

The team had very unusual distractions last year which began around Christmas. They didn't just forget how to play after a good OOC run. The two transfers are going to hurt what would have been a pretty good club. A new offense and new defense will take time. A lot will depend on how fast the three Michigan kids develop, as they will undoubtedly see a lot of playing time. The team will improve a lot as the season progresses. That said, the team is a year away from being really good! 6-7 OOC 10-8 PL 1-1 PLT

I see a regression--at least as far as the total number of wins goes--from last season, but with great optimism for the following seasons. We'll surely struggle some as the veterans get used to a new offense and defense and as the incoming freshmen get used to the speed of D-1 basketball. On the other hand, we've got to believe that HCBN's strategies and tactics will prove more effective than the former offense/defense and the "forget rebounds" mind set. I've got us going
5-8 OOC 7-11 Patriot League 1-1 post season
13 wins total
We'll miss Jehyve Floyd tremendously--no one will block shots and intimidate opposing slashers the way he did or make 2/3rds of his field goal attempts. On the other hand we'll see better perimeter shooting from his replacements and if they can draw fouls they'll make a higher percentage. On balance, though, he's a huge loss. Matt Faw has talent--very good shooter and he does block some shots--but is not JF on defense. BV will get some floor time and is a wild card. Connor Niego I see as having high potential to contribute a lot more if he maintains his health---seems like a solid player with good floor sense, a good shooting eye, etc. I look back to those several early games from last season where he played more than 10 minutes and was really productive.
I see Austin Butler moving forward as he's a year older, should have overcome his health problems from last season, and he'll do well in a faster paced offense. Look for a big increase in rebounds and I think also in free throw attempts as well. He'll likely take fewer threes but still make a high percentage of them. He'll be a strong team leader. Can we expect 16PPG from AB?
We'll miss Jacob Grandison, a talented player, but let's see what Hargis and Pridgen can do. Early reports are encouraging
Caleb Green was a very good point guard but I don't know that Lowder and Reilly won't match him on offense. They may be better shooters than he was. Defense is up in the air.
Ryan Wade is another wild card---could be a deadly shooter and give us a great weapon there--I think he'll get lots of minutes to show what he can do--could be a solid scorer.
Kyle Copeland--don't know what to think--will he be healthy and ready to play?

I think we were much closer to the team we saw OOC than the team we saw in PL play last year, but we lost a ton of talent. There will also be a heck of a learning curve based on the exhibition. However, I think this team will take some nice strides during the year, showing us promise for next year. I've got my range at 10-12, so I picked 9-11.
OOC 3-10 PL 7-11 PLT 1-1

Bump.
I hate to say it but my 5 win prediction looks pretty good. Hope I was proven wrong but this team just doesn't have the players to compete.

I just did a quick check of people who broke down their picks by OOC and PL.
Zero people picked "one"
The lowest predicted OOC win total was 3. That was done by SOV, TimHC, HC87, and HC16

I picked 6-8 wins and am counting on a good PL season to accomplish that. Correct culture has been established in OOC, now time to win 5-7 games in the league.

That was done by SOV, TimHC, HC87, and HC16 I think I can speak for the other 3 listed above that one of the three was the unthinkable loss to UMB. So, in terms of D1, we all had 2-10, and got 1-11 instead. Pretty close. In some other thread, in so many words, I said the team would be awful before New Year's and if Nelson was making progress, you wouldn't see it until league play. Hope that was right. I picked HC for 7 league wins. Regretfully, I'll have to say that something in the 2 to 4 range is more likely.

Classes begin on the 21st
With none of those pesky academic distractions for the next four weeks, these kids can be 100 percent focused on basketball. This should be the most productive practice time of the year. I expect this team to have significantly fewer breakdowns when Lehigh comes to town than we see right now

Still I expect these next four weeks to be the steepest part of the learning curve. While I also expect improvement to continue after classes start, I think the rate of improvement will be much smaller starting then compared to the break between semesters

Re: 1/21/2020. They get a lot of days off for their $65-70K a year, don't they? Good for basketball, anyways.
