Well, this report alone should necessitate an emergency meeting of the league schools to make a serious plan for improvement going forward - our league rpi is last in the country - yes, behind the NEC and Pioneer conferences. realtimerpi.com/college_football/ncaaf_conf.html

" ...necessitate an emergency meeting of the league schools..."
boy i would like to attend that. seriously though i hope that you guys aren't contemplating suicide as graduates of a disgraced pl league school. THERE IS HELP FOR YOU!!! for the time being you can wear paper bags over your heads so no one will know that you graduated from a pl school. (you did graduate, right?)

I think this is ludicrous, absolute crap. The Patriot League ranked behind the Pioneer Conference?? The math formula used must be unable to properly analyze the difference between Holy Cross losing to Navy and Butler beating Indiana Wesleyan. Here's how Sagarin has the 1AA conferences ranked
21 MVC (AA)= 53.48 22 BIG SKY (AA)= 50.48 23 COLONIAL (AA)= 48.75 24 IVY LEAGUE (AA)= 44.71 25 SOUTHLAND (AA)= 43.21 26 SOUTHERN (AA)= 41.90 27 OHIO VALLEY (AA)= 41.90 28 PATRIOT (AA)= 33.84 29 NORTHEAST (AA)= 33.47 30 SWAC-WEST (AA)= 32.69 31 BIG SOUTH (AA)= 32.56 32 MID-EASTERN (AA)= 29.60 33 SWAC-EAST (AA)= 27.36 34 PIONEER (AA)= 24.67 35 UNRATED (__)= -91.00 -91.00 ( 35) 1 -91.00 ( 35)

So, this site ranking PL dead last has "RPI" in its title but somehow I suspect this has nothing to do with the once-almighty RPI.
I would put my money on the rankings KY posted instead.
FWIW, I like the trajectory that Bob Chesney has the program on.

Just looking at Massey and the top 5 teams in three pretty bad FCS conferences it is clear the NEC is ahead of us and the Pioneer is behind us (although we are a bit closer to the Pioneer).
The top 5 NEC Teams 28, 63, 84, 87, 90 Total: 352 The top 5 Patriot Teams 55 (HC), 72, 77, 78, 100 Total: 382 The top 5 Pioneer Teams 40, 65, 89, 99, 107 Total: 400
(This is not to suggest Massey is the ultimate source.)

The only rankings/ratings that count is the one at the end of the season for me.

Start winning consistently and having more competitive games against the big boys will dispel the perceived inadequate ranking.

I don't have much faith in a domain that registers anonymously on godaddy, and the domain owner doesn't describe his particular methodology, or how it works, or put a name behind the analysis.

Imo, which won't get you a cup of joe in Hogan, we are closer to Sagarin than this RPI as a league in general.
That being said, we are probably significantly behind the top 4 or 5 leagues including the Ivies as a league in total.

Well, very easy to argue if you think the PL is the pits and you can find a ranking that confirms that.
All that said, perhaps the PL is down some and we at HC may have hit a sweet spot that while the league has declined a bit, our team is ascending. With the young talent we have been landing the last couple of years (just look at the sophs and frosh starting and already making an impact), we should have higher expectations for the program in coming years. I will not be surprised if we pick off an FBS team in the next few years. Maybe not BC but UConn or Buffalo.

" our league rpi is last in the country - yes, behind the NEC and Pioneer conferences. " so there is only one way for the holy cross football program to go and that's UP!!!

Moose, as far as I know, we aren’t playing Syracuse again in the foreseeable future and that’s why I mentioned the FBS teams we are going to play. Can’t beat (or lose😊) to a team you don’t play.

They don't care about football. That Georgetown has been able to stay underfunded for two decades without so much as a note of concern, the PL is not going to force anything upon its members.

All three have a different number of teams so the math would be silly if each team was counted. For what its worth (and assuming that is a serious second question), you are correct that every team in a league is part of a league. Plus it's for all the cross country guys out there (lower is better). If there was a tie we could go to 6 and then 7 (PL has 7, NEC has 8 and Pioneer has 10...I guess one could count the top 7 teams in each league and add them up but the results would still put us worse than the NEC and still better than the Pioneer).

This ferkakta website with these likely boosted from a legit site rankings probably has had more unique visits in the past 9 hours than its had in the past 9 months.
