Northeastern held off Harvard winning 84-79. Harvard made nice comeback from 20 down in 2nd half but fell short. Northeastern looks to have a great guard in Jordan Rowland had 44 tonight after getting 39 against BU. American lost at home by 9 to William & Mary.

Merrimack knocked off Northwestern 71-61 My word, that's awful.
Maybe Chris Collins isn't the savior of Northwestern hoops after all. Or maybe his predecessor wasn't what was holding them back.

Bloom seems to be off the rose out there in Evanston. You've got your choice of threads to read regarding this one:

Only Merrimack's 2nd game in D1. It knocks off a Big10 school on the road after losing by some 20 points to Maine in first game.

They are not mine, unfortunately. Not sure if this fits the definition of plagiarism but this picture sent to me from a Classmate who when moving from Missouri to New Hampshire and clearing out his attic found them. He sent to me to share with our 1970 Classmates for our upcoming 50th reunion. I have some myself but Mom threw most of mine out with my Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays and Duke Snyder baseball cards . . . . . and gave away my early Purple Patcher years (1967, 1968) to my older brother assuming they were his. R.I.P. Mom, I forgive you.

Nebraska made a big splash when they hired Fred Hoiberg - they scheduled two cupcakes at home to start the season - Huskers proceeded to lose by 19 to cal-riverside and by one today to southern Utah (their football also suffering with Scott Frost)

Hoiberg coached very successfully at Iowa State. It may take him time to recruit and eventually win It is a bit early to judge

So the defending champ does the rarity by opening its season on the road, in the Carrier Dome, no less. UVA scores 48– and wins by 14. That is correct. 48-34 Syracuse’s fewest since, wait, 1945 ! Elsewhere in the ACC NYC phenom Cole Anthony makes his Carolina debut and goes for 34 and 11 rebs, as a 6’3” point in a win over UND. also amazing that clark, the 5’8 uva point guard, had 11 rebounds in that game. amazing that they lost so much from the national championship team and look to be pretty solid again. where are the bennett critics now? crickets...

Sounds like Maryland is slow out of the gate each game and then comes on strong (depth?). We played them equal or better in the first 10-15 minutes before they took over. URI sounds like they did a little better but then they too couldn't match up. I really wanted to watch this game but forgot.

URI has some quickness, strength and maturity that we lack for now. Their starting 5 from last year is back. Like us turnovers and a cold spell allowed the Terps to pull away.
URI would be a tough physical matchup for us
