Holy Cross had 16 offensive rebounds - in the second half.

The Eagles thought the Hart Center would be their usual welcoming Aviary. Instead they ran into a most unwelcoming Avery.π

Swords with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Manis played only 20 minutes due to foul troubles; finishes with 11 points and 6 rebounds.
LaBarbera and Faulkner each had 16 points.

Best game of Swords's career. She has gotten better each year so there's hope for Verbeek.

Can Faulkner be credited with both a block and a steal on the same play? If I were the scorer, I would give it a shot.

Lincoln Yeutter with his laptop was shown during the 4th quarter. Announcers made a snarky comment about being at the game with a laptop, and supposedly watching the Patriot League Network. Obviously, the broadcast team was not familiar with the menβs team, otherwise they would have recognized him. π

The broadcast team still has a lot to still learn about HC and our athletes.

Great to see the team playing well and not fearful.

The women now host Bryant on Wednesday! GO CROSS
Imagine beating BC like this with Manis out for almost A quarter with 4 fouls. Now she can come back fresh against Bryant. LM won't get Player of gthe Week this week, but Swords or Labarbera might. I would pull for Swords. Big improvement by her from last year.

I was watching initially on Stadium as I forgot it was a NESN broadcast. Switched to TV and surprisingly there was no buffering!
Great win for the Crusaders but I have to say the refs were rather liberal in their calling fouls. Thought HC was the beneficiary of a number of ticky tack fouls but they called them both ways.
Hopefully a confidence builder for the ladies.

Imagine if we had started 2-0 against P5 conference schools?
This win tonight will do wonders for team morale. Looking forward to seeing the team live in the Hart this year.

Great win, offensive rebounding in second half simply outstanding. Converted 3 missed foul shots in a row into baskets, one of them a 3, so effectively made them 3, 3 and 4 point plays. This was right after BC had cut the lead to 5, I believe.
Definitely a spark there that's been missing with this team for a while.

Strange game with 53 fouls (33 BC plus 20 HC) - statistically we won the game at the line - great win for the program ! Preseason favorite Lehigh beat A10 GW today - could be a battle in the PL with some strong teams this season

Nice pics, especially sally the shot of Soule's fall early in the game. That almost hurt to look at. Her return to the court was a gutsy move.

A most satisfying and exciting evening. Satisfying because it was a win...exciting because hopefully it is the first win of many!

Everyone here knows that BC teams foul a lot...part of the game. Terrific win!

Both teams played a physical game last night. HC just played it better!

Truthfully, it really wasn't that physical, it seemed that any contact drew a foul, to their credit, HC adjusted earlier and better to the type of game they were calling.

Looking again at the play under the boards, it looked pretty physical to me, but I would yield to you since you were there to see it first hand. Last night, HC was going for the ball at every opportunity and the multiple rebounds and cutbacks that have plagued HC were working for us this time on more tan one occasion.
