Northeastern makes good use of their ability to redshirt players. Roland shows just what can come of that (at least in most of college basketball outside of thePL with its few redshirt players). Northeastern is not a four year college. It is actually a five year college with lots of required co-ops. I'm not sure how things work out with scholarship numbers, but theoretically everyone could red shirt as a freshman and then play years 2-5 Different than it was back in my day...96% of students participate, 2 co-ops required in 4 years, or 3 in 5 years. Used to be quarters (6 or 8) in a year, now it's semesters (3). I'm sure it works well with athletes one way or another. Acceptance rate there is a lot lower than it used to be.
