fbschedules.com/ncaa-2020/team/holy-crossNot to get ahead of this coming Saturday, which obviously is very important. However, I was wondering about next year’s schedule. Several years ago the schedule had us resuming play against CCSU in New Britain CT. That game was dropped for 2020, with the series scheduled for later in the decade. The current schedule list only 10 games. Any speculation regarding the 11th game in 2020?

LOL, I almost brought this up recently myself, glad you can take the heat for doing so Crucis1.
Something is afoot...the CCSU games have been cancelled for the next couple of years, though we do play the Blue Devils again in something like 2027 and 2028.
The BC game for 2020 was originally to be on Halloween but is now scheduled for the openah on Sept 5th.
We now have open dates on both Halloween and Sept. 26th for people who want to sleuth out who else has open dates then.

Just to be clear, HC can only schedule one of those dates to give us 11...correct?

With Tua gone, next year would be the perfect time to spring a Purple surprise on ‘Bama.

fbschedules.com/the-hawaii-exemption/Yes to the Hawaii Exemption. Nice road trip for the team and a great recruiting incentive. Merely wishful thinking by me. A game in the 50th state would be more desirable than a trip to Fargo or Missoula.

It is curious....we already have our FBS game in BC, 3 Ivies in HYB....why drop CCSU? Did they drop us?
I doubt it will be another FBS game, but who knows?
ETA: Actually I think CCSU did drop us due to NEC expansion, just remembered.

This year was 5 home 7 away if my maths correct, I'd sure like a home game ....and unless it's some unique offer, BC should suffice as a guarantee game in 2020. Let's assume we'll have a league contending club next year and not ruin it by overscheduling

Wouldn't mind seeing a home game against a CAA opponent (although a trip to a New England CAA opponent would be perfectly fine).

Who else has open dates on September 26 or October 31 and has not reached the max for games to be played?

Or could a current game possibly be switched to accommodate an 11th team , admittedly less likely at this late date ? Can a game be played on Aug 29 ?

As of 12/16/19 HC is undefeated. GoCrossGO! LoveHC ...undefeated with the same offensive coordinator! Who'd a thunk it?

Might be good to have a game under our belts before we face the beagles and their new coach.

We were scheduled to play at UConn in '21, but UConn announced new contracts for 2021 and beyond yesterday and it included 'at Fresno St.' on our date - seems they may be pushing us aside as their inde schedules develop - if true, wonder in there's any compensation for HC.

I'm not an old country lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, but I'm pretty sure we are compensated if UConn pulls our game.
Decent game for us in a lot of ways (competitive, local etc) but I wouldn't shed too many tears if we can get another FBS game in '21.

UConn is a great FBS school to play. Should be on the schedule more often than not.

Might be good to have a game under our belts before we face the beagles and their new coach. Chesney's got the right idea: Burn the clock, avoid injuries, keep it positive, and move on to the next game. Personally, I'd just as soon open the season with that nonsensical game so we can get it behind us and focus on our real opponents for the rest of the season. (It would be nice to play two normal games to open 2020 and be primed to play Yale - their first game - and beat them at home our game 3 but the BC game kills that dream).
