Five of six opponents have scored 82+ points.
My guess is we are the only team in America who has let up this many points on average.
Not good!

Other than completely replacing the entire team and getting David Greene (Gabe Kaplan) to coach, wonder what can be done to turn what appears an ugly season around. www.imdb.com/title/tt0079136/

We gave up our average 86plus per game, if you can score 88-90 per game that works, but pretty bad

Mississippi Valley State has allowed an average of 101.6 - they're the worst. Holy Cross (86.6) is 341st.

No such thing as "for sure." Unless you know that HC does not have a good coach or the heart to improve. Heck, they can't do worse in the PL than last year.
My thought...let's be patient and see if this will be a different team later in the year (as Coach Nelson said).

Good to have Pridgen back. 4 pts (2 of 3), 3 reb,, 2 assists in only 17 minutes.
On to Hofstra.

I'll repeat... We are way behind our opponents in terms of pure athleticism, speed and BB IQ. If you don't have the horses, well.... ! Not giving up by any means, hoping we are a better team come January! !

Nobody on this roster was recruited based on their defensive or rebounding skills. " Pass, dribble, shoot" was all that mattered.
Holy Cross has been a poor defensive and rebounding team for the last four+ years. Hard to see how that's going to change in conference play - a chair is a chair.

Not for nothing, but we've played 1 half of ball with the entire team (excluding CLS) so far.....I'll repeat - hope a real lesson was learned tonight that will benefit the team down the road.

It may take two more years of aggressive recruiting to completely turn around.

Perhaps us fans committed an infraction also. Even though Dick Lutsk announced at the end of the game he would be joined by BN for a post game interview, the Coach never appeared.

Hopefully, Nelson can bring in kids who are truly committed to program and school, and have their heads screwed on straight. Truly remarkable (and embarrassing) the number of players over the last few years who have had off-court problems or ditched.

Incredibly unfortunate that on the freshmen’s first serious road trip for an extended time, they pull some stunt that causes them to miss the first 20 minutes. This team needs some leadership from the upperclassmen.

Let’s not assume the freshmen did something wrong, as Reilly started

And, just as a reminder, we are still recruiting 2020s (Montgomery is not the only one we've been pursuing this fall), so wouldn't be surprising if one or more current players are planning to leave.

Going to have to slow the pace down and call RW. Matchup-Zone is the way to go with this team. WE can't run and gun with any team right now. We don't have athleticism or offensive or defensive strength. RW knew that and built a game plan that worked pretty well. So far this is CSK reincarnated.(no plan)

If it were something truly egregious, I doubt they would have played tonight.

The amount of talent that CSK inherited vs. CBN is night and day.
There's no way you can listen to Nelson talk about his vision vs. listen to CSK talk about his, and equate the two.

Was at the game. Three frosh were in the doghouse for some reason, and didn’t play first half. Don’t know why, and my usual contacts were not talking. Since they played second half, I suspect a discipline issue. When you are 0-6, you don’t need these distractions; but they played hard in the second half. FAU was athletic, and couldn’t miss threes in first half, and foul shots in second. Refs sucked! Nice to see Sarasota, who bleeds purple and I miss him on the board. Time for the moderator to let him out of purgatory! We are better than our record. Few, Copeland were hurt, and are getting back. They won’t be last in the league and they are a year away.

My point is RW adapted to what he had, so far BN hasn't. I am sure he will be a decent coach, but he needs to make some adjustment to his personnel's strength and weaknesses. RW had two years of non-scholarship players, he would have never try to Run and Gun with Juan Pegues, Jared Curry and Josh Sankes. He knew their weaknesses and had them play tough and slow the game down.
