SAN DIEGO PROBABLE STARTERS: 01 Hartfield,Braun.........G (RS Jr, 6'6" 185) 12 ppg / 6 rpg / 1 apg / 35 mpg (10 steals / 8 blocks) 02 Calcaterra,Joey........G (RS So, 6'3" 165) 14 ppg / 2 rpg / 3 apg / 30 mpg (9 steals / 1 block) 15 Floresca,Alex...........F (RS Sr, 6'8" 240) 2 ppg / 4 rpg / 2 apg / 26 mpg 23 Jean-Marie,James...F (Jr, 6'7" 225) 8 ppg / 8 rpg / 2 apg / 31 mpg (4 steals / 7 blocks) 00 Humphrey,Marion....G (Fr, 6'2" 185) 9 ppg / 3 rpg / 1 apg / 30 mpg (14 steals / 3 blocks)
TOP SUBS: 05 Sullivan,Finn............G (So, 6'4" 175) 5 ppg / 2 rpg / 3 apg / 20 mpg (6 steals) 03 Coleman,Noel.........G (Fr, 6'1" 175) 4 ppg / 1 rpg / 1 apg / 14 mpg (5 steals) 20 Rodriguez,Jared......F (RS So, 6'7" 205) 6 ppg / 3 rpg / .5 apg / 21 mpg (3 steals)
Apparently, no problem for redshirt players for the Toreros. Looking at who gets steals, HC guards have to to be careful with the ball and passing.

St. Bonventure defeated Mercer by 5 and San Diego by 9 and we defeated Mercer by 14; ergo we are better than St. B and should beat SD. However, Hofstra clobbered us and San Diego defeated Hofstra. Food for thought.

Apparently team is stuck in FL until Wed morn. Back to Worc, then to SD Fri morn. Not exactly ideal. Can anyone loan their Gulf Stream or Lear Jet to get the team home? We need a Phil Knight to go along with Bill Fox to resolve this transportation issue. Imagine Coach Nelson at the airport with a sign “ Anyone with a Net Jet share willing to benefit for a ride to Worcester Airport” . Obviously not an ideal situation. I recently read where most Big East teams charter instead of using commercial flights due to the uncertainty of being bumped or cancellations. Take a look at the UTube video regarding Marquette travel. www.airliners.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=375887Coach Nelson gave this up to come to Worcester. Cameo appearances at 2:15 and 3:08 in video.

Great research, Crucis. Surprised that the guys have to carry their own luggage. Roger Clemens would not be happy.

Don't think it would matter much as it is snowing heavily here in the Worcester area. Should have been done by now at 9:00am, but local radar showing it will last until about 2:00pm.

If the number of classes players have on Thursday is small, why bother flying to Boston, taking the bus to Worcester, doing the opposite 48 hours later and flying across country to SD, so players can attend a couple of classes on Thursday. What is the point. If they need material from their rooms to study for finals, have their roommates package them and overnight them to SD.

not ideal for any student, esp freshmen The team is traveling home tomorrow and out to SD on Friday. How many classes do you think they are going to attend those days. My guess is close to zero. If they are leaving late on Friday, then it is worth it but otherwise,I see little point in coming home tomorrow for one day of classes.

my point about not being ideal has to do with classes missed from Monday through Wednesday, and Friday

I hope Nelson is able to overhaul this OOC schedule next year.
Playing in Florida the Monday after Thanksgiving and then spending ~20 hours traveling back and forth to San Diego for one game the following weekend is insanity.

Was PVD or Manchester available rather than Logan? Perhaps the former but not the latter. Even Bradley. In any case, I would think the expert schedulers for the team already checked the possibilities.
