Mostly chalk this past week along with a lot of empty stadia. Our sentimental fave went down against the Fly's alma mater Austin Peay, Monmouth ran into the buzzsaw that is JMU this year.
NYCru with a perfect 8-0....kudos young man. DeepPurp with the lead after two rounds of play.

JMU putting up 66 against Monmouth kind of shows you where our offense falls in the hierarchy. I don't think there was one drive the entire game in which Monmouth stopped JMU from putting points on the board, minus taking a knee if they had the ball to end the game. JMU and NDSU are basically on another level vis a vis even Top 10 FCS teams at this point. More importantly, any news on Mrs. 43 and the baby? |

Wonder what kind of crowd will be at JMU--- the kids are pretty much gone by the end of the week. Don't even know if they can stay in the residence halls if they want to.
Unlike Holy Cross, there are a lot of them and the home crowd there (avg, over 20K) makes a difference.
All 3 outdoor games have more or less the same forecast- 30s/high 20s chance of snow or freezing rain. As I recall, the Weber State/Maine game was a lot colder than that.

JMU is an approximate peer of UMass, but our State U. Figured it had a better idea and decided to blow this pop stand called FCS. Sad.

Nearly forgot myself....3 games tonight (Fri)....think a couple are on ESPN2 Montana JMU Montana St NDSU I'm secretly rooting for a Montana-Montana St final....the country will be riveted  |

Caught the end of it.....8K seems generous
The FCS playoffs are just very odd....no one outside of NDSU goes to the games, very few seem to care...a weird NCAA oddity.

For the record, a misty, rainy night at n Harrisonburg with the students having finished finals and gone home. Montana State at Weber State on a snowy field. Weber State currently up 10-7 looking to spoil hc87’s dream matchup of Griz vs. Bobcats😊

I was all in for the FCS playoffs until we lost. Now I'm out until we get in next year. Odd tourney, but it's the easiest (of course still extremely unlikely) path for HC to win a national championship, so I'm all in on keeping the tournament and the sub-division alive.
