He'll have to change his #3 uniform when he gets to HC, right? Unless he's better than Lowder and/or can defend. Guess he won't! Although that will make 3 #3s in 18 months. Clennie Brundidge! Remember him? Tight end on the Army football team who moonlighted as a basketball player for Coach K. Boy, did he and Gary Winton throw their weight around on the court.

Do we know for a fact that Bubba is not a college point guard? Seems like we’re all assuming he’s more of a wing/combo. Any chance he could be our PG next year?

Watching Humphrey drive baseline here, very similar to what I've seen Martindale do - explosive, long, and strong to the rim. We haven't had this kind of player since Malcolm - next year, we'll have two.

Bubba doesn't get the same attention our local duo does, but it would be cool if he turns out to be the jewel of a great class. I am interested in 2 things: 1) can he keep his guy in front of him in a m-2-m, and 2) can he run a team in a pinch. I know we need a pg, but I would hate to see us take a kid just because he's a pg over someone who was clearly a higher rated player (if that situation should arise).
Looking forward to seeing Bubba in The Full Nelson!

The play I like the best in the video is the baseline floater he drops in! That shot allows him to shoot over bigger players and score in the lane...If Austin could develop that shot, he'd be able to score off his drives, rather than get his shot blocked as we see so often...Bubba has all the shots, dunks off penetration, mid-range and three pointers...He seems fairly strong, but a bit thin..I think he will bulk up a bit as he ages...He looks to be a great find and signing for the staff..

Feel free to enjoy yourselves posters.
Frankly, however, if one reflects on threads such as these over the last dozen years as we dissect the high school performances of our recruits, one would think that we would now be in the national top 10.
These games mean squat.

These game films and highlight reels are invaluable— lets us (the experts much more than I) look at footwork, court vision, shooting form (everyone shoots 100% in highlight reels but can check form), use of both hands, etc.

look back at the many Hosannas from recruits past: the threads are there.
Oh, the excitement! How'd it work out?

look back at the many Hosannas from recruits past: the threads are there. Oh, the excitement! How'd it work out? I remember a lot of excitement on the board about some players who turned out to be pretty good. I don't recall us waxing exuberant over the many Crusaders who did not end up being solid contributors. I, for one, certainly got some players wrong but I did not tout every incoming recruit as the next Jerry West.
