Storey vs Swords should be a good matchup between veteran front court players.
Lauren Manis should be able to drive at will against the rest of UNH.

Gogolin is a 6 foot or 6 1 sophomore...from Hopkinton. That's a misprint

Thanks for the tip. I am watching it now. D on a 25-5 run, but it's deceptive because the Big Green can't miss. UNH has some talent and has some height besides Storey.
Dartmouth court looks like a standard issue 1960s college gym with about 500 chairbacks nailed to the bleachers at center court.

Little bit more than that...it does have plastic seating for every seat and not wooden bleachers. I have shot in far worse gyms than that cough cough UNH

I took a ride to a Bryant game a few years ago. It was the gym that time forgot. I wonder if they have upgraded their basketball arena now that they are D-1?
If it's stormy this weekend the UNH-HC WBB game could be rescheduled for March 17th. The head coaches are Maureen Magarity and Ann McInerney.☺️

It is perfectly adequate for D-2, but was small for D-1 and the design struck me as an older multi-use concept. If it was built in 2001 it was probably voted on in 1998-9 or so, before the trend to move up to D-1 was popular as I recall. As a member of the NE10, Bryant had a stable, geographically compact conference to participate in. TPTB at Bryant must have seen the value of the D-1 participatory model that HC follows a little later. Now that Stonehill has dipped their toe in D-1 with hockey, I am wondering if Assumption University will consider it.

Bryant upgraded their bleachers from wood to molded plastic last year. Take a look at the picture.

As a member of the NE10, Bryant had a stable, geographically compact conference to participate in. Not sure when they voted on the new arena. But Bryant was accepted as a D1 member in late 2007, and it began to participate in the NEC in the fall of 2008. It became a full D1 member in 2012. Not sure it's too small for D-1, at least in the Northeast. Its official capacity is 2700 and only once in history have they averaged as much as 1500. Last year their average attendance was 750. With the exception of Mount St. Mary's and possibly FDU, most of the NEC averages 1000 or fewer per game. RMU also should be over 1000 now that they have a nice new arena.

HC jumps out to an early 11-6 lead. Both teams a bit sloppy out of the gate.

Cross scores off a very nice assist by Manis to end the 1qt, HC 25-10. Cross looking much more comfortable on the court than in prior games. Has her first 4 pts as a Crusader.

Announcer says Faulkner has been away from the team for the last couple of games. With a staff person being away from the team also this is getting to be like the "Auf Wiedersehen" scene in the Sound of Music.

HC starting to play too much one on one, not getting back on D. UNH takes advantage to go on 4-0 run HC 34-21.

UNH can't hit the broad side of a barn, which is surprising because there are so many barns in the Granite State. HC shooting well.

Despite two horrible late t/os in the last few seconds, one leading to a UNH layup, HC with a comfortable 44-25 lead at the half. Manis leads w/ 15 & 7 rebs, Swords 7, AL 8

Kudos to Meghan Swords who has clearly been working on her free throw shooting. Looking confident at the line so very much unlike earlier this year. HC 48-27 early in the 3rd.
