I know we lost some prior commits to William and Mary, Richmond, and UNLV. The W&M kid was from MA, the Richmond kid was from NC (I believe) and the UNLV kid was from California.
Would be a nice development at this stage of the game.

Interesting you say that. I just check twitter from all three kids - Corey Ryder, Jack Bowler and Kyle Moses and saw nothing indicating HC.

Heard something at the spring game; checked yesterday and there was no change; checked today and it's just as td128 has posted above.
Must be an interesting story behind this, but I'm happy to have Jack at HC.

Not to quibble, but in my view our "top recruit" in this class is QB Connor Degenhardt (also based on ratings by 247 Sports). However, it would be entirely accurate to call Bowler one of our top recruits in this class.

Didn't he sign his LOI with Richmond? How is he able to recommit at this point?

Didn't the Richmond HC go to Delaware?

I think Deep Purple makes a good point. If he signed his LOI it's binding unless Richmond let's him out, and I'm not sure about having to sit. I checked out a Richmond Football blog and it had him as the first signing of the day on Signing Day. He then followed the new O line Coach, Coach Smith sometime about 2 weeks later. Apparently there is a story to go along with all of this.

My only guess is shortly after signing with Richmond he was re-considering HC and began following the O-line coach. Smith was named O Line coach on 2/7. That's looks to be about the time Bowler started following him on Twitter.

The new HC at Richmond came from U Tenn Chattanooga. He brought the new OL coach from U Tenn Chattanooga. The OL coach previously coached at Jacksonville State and U. of West Alabama. Maybe they wanted him to red-shirt. Maybe they are bringing a different offensive mind-set than what the Spiders employed in past years.

Im guessing it has somehting to do with his teammate committing there and convincing him, coupled with the old Richmond staff leaving.

This is fairly common and I doubt this has any effect on his immediate eligibility at HC. Also doubt he could have followed the head coach to Delaware as such may be an in-conference rule. Apparently we had a schollie available to give him.
