whatever the final margin is, we can expect pressure from other pl teams - we have handled the ball poorly in this game - no other word for it - surprising to me

That was a good win away against a PL opponent...but a lot more "exciting" than it needed to be.

Loyola has bolted chair back seats to the bleachers and a big screen video board to the wall.
Sensible and fiscally prudent imo.

Pedi finishes w/ 15, Manis 13 & 16 & 5 turnovers, AL & Swords w/ 12. Smith 6 t/os. The good news is the held Karcz scoreless in the 2nd half I think HC had 14 turnovers in the 2nd half.

Yes, a W is what you want but we did not play like a contender today - actually exceeded their 1st half t/o's with 13 in the 2nd half for a total of 24 - I always think Manis is ready to take over a game and she doesn't - Loyola made us look vulnerable - Navy will be tougher on Saturday

PLN interviews the losing coach, which is good, but not the winning coach, which obviously there is time for - they aren't buying air time on television. Logically a higher percentage of viewers of a PLN broadcast will be fans of the visiting team on average because fans of the home team can go to the game, so making each game production truly non partisan would be a cost free adjustment the PL could make that should only improve overall enjoyment of PL fans.

I watched the whole game - maybe 50 folks in attendance - doubt the men's attendance will crack 4 figures - I've been to this Reitz and it's like walking into Hogan and finding a gym through a door on the 3rd floor

(actually, I think it's their volleyball program's home court now).

24 turnovers ... coaches have to figure that one out fast I just skimmed the Navy website. They win the turnover, assist and steal battle against their opponents but get less rebounds than the other teams and their shooting percentages are way lower than Holy Cross. If we can hang on to the ball we are in good position because we have the advantage inside with greater height and outside with three point shots. Keeping possession of the ball as it travels up court and then as it is passed inside out will be key. I just hope our three point shooting percentage doesn't revert to the mean over the course of the season. All PL coaching staffs will draw up schemes to defend the three as long as we lead the nation in shooting them. With a minimum of two games per season against HC and tournament seeding at stake, PL coaches have several times the incentive of OOC coaches to spend time on specific defensive alignments to counter HC's strengths. It will be interesting to compare our OOC and PL 3 pt. shooting percentages at the end of the year.

It was, but she also had 6 points, 1 rebound and 2 nice blocks. She appears to be getting her legs back - playing for 22 minutes..
