Usually I don't do this stuff until summer. However, since this is a sports board, and HC sports are done for the year, it is kind of like summer now.
By my count there are 13 players in the history of the program who joined the 1000 point club in their junior year. Name them

That's 5
Ronnie Perry is not one of the 13. He scored his 1000th point as a sophomore

Glenn "Scooter" Tropf- NOT! Ended junior year at 982. Probably the closest that didn't make it.

We should have figured Cousy as he played as a freshman before freshmen were barred from varsity play

Togo was not. Not far behind Scooter in the close, but no cigar department finishing his junior year with 967
Wendelken and Doyle absolutely would have if they had played as freshmen, but didn't cut it.
Feaster, Szatko, Siduit, Pernell, Brown, Heinsohn, and Cousy make 12. One left out there.

I'm guessing George Kaftan, but from what I'm seeing, I can't prove it.
468 points as a junior. Not sure if he played as a freshman, if he did it's a slam dunk. If not, still a chance it's him, they played 30 games and he needed to average slightly under 18 a game to do it.

Kaftan is #13
Kind of low on the all time list because as I learned in Purple Reign, didn't finish his senior season
In chronological order
Kaftan Cousy Heinsohn Foley Siduit Potter Vicens Pernell Feaster Szatko Simmons Brown Butler
I know lots of things tilt the scales like 3 year eligibility, inuries, and 3 point line, but not horrible company for Austin to join this year. Especially if you think of some greats not on the list.
Kind of a bummer that I'm pulling out summer diversions in March. Also hard to find a non-Pridgen highlight this season
