I assume the 2022 offers we extended are now off the table since we've used the available scholarships for this year and next. We currently have 13 scholarship players for 2021-22. We’ll have one more entering in 2022 to replace Townsel assuming nothing else changes. Here’s the 2021-22 roster: Sr Townsel Jr Gates, Reilly, Wade So Martindale, Rabinovich, Humphrey, Johnson, Montgomery Fr Luc, Lewis, Kenney, Coulibaly I have moved Coulibaly to the class entering in 2021 as it does not appear he’ll be able to get to HC this year. Gates is listed on our roster as a Junior this year but pretty sure he has two years of eligibility left and will graduate with Reilly and Wade. If Coulibaly is taking classes online, he will be a soph next fall. I think he'd have

Kind of like an academic soph/athletic frosh. However even if Coulibaly doesn't play this year, isn't he in the same boat as everyone else with the special NCAA COVID exemption

My guess is as someone else pointed out, there will be a glut of student-athletes on the grad transfer market over the next 4 years. I doubt we will see any of our men's hoop players play their Covid exemption year at HC even if the PL and HC were to allow it. Just my two cents.

I don't disagree. I just think that Coulibaly will be in the same academic and athletic position as Martindale, Rabinovich, Humphrey, Johnson, and Montgomery.
I think he is no more or less likely than any other 5 to hang around for 2025

I guess (regretfully) there's a chance Coulibaly never sets foot on campus. Would expect a lot of "re-recruitment" going on behind the scenes.

I believe classes are scheduled to begin on Feb 1.

Unless Holy Cross offers only on-line courses in the spring semester, Louth will be able to come to campus in January.

While reading the story in the Worcester Telegram about the men's and women's hoop schedule, I came across a story from several months ago about HC's plans for a spring semester. It had references to a January term from 1-4 to 1-22. I am not sure what that is but perhaps it will allow Coulibaly to return to campus at the beginning of January.

I hope that is the case. He does sound like he could be a big piece of HC's "road back."

Brown liked at least one recent HC Men’s BBall tweet so the interest seems mutual.

Unless he is more of a shooting guard, the point guard position will have two in front of him(unless he is better) for two or possibly three years.

He would be a good get...nice player who has faced quality competition. Have you seen him play ? Yes, last year before fans were banned. Most of their 2019-20 season is available on the school site (2nd in their County tnmt .and first in the state sectional playoffs. (Brown is #2 - there is at times no commentary during the games). PS: He is listed as 5'11" but that is an old number. I would say he looks to be just about 6'0". He is constantly on the move on the court and makes some nice passes to the BC bigs. He also shows good defense.

If you sign up for the BC site, you can see videos of almost all of last year's BC games. It is free. (Go to BergenCatholic.org)

He has a strong overall game and could be a solid combo guard.

I know I'm being picky, Rob, but at least for me, 5'11" is already "just about 6'0".

Unless Holy Cross offers only on-line courses in the spring semester, Louth will be able to come to campus in January. The academic calendar January term. Jan 4-25. On-campus. On-campus Spring semester classes begin February 1. Seven day Easter break, but traveling is strongly discouraged. No spring break. Commencement is May 28 On-campus Summer session 1 begins May 24, and concludes July 2. Summer session 2 begins July 6 and ends August 13. Summer session courses are, for many apparently, covered by the spring semester tuition.
