Playing in TBT
4th seed: Armored Athlete
In its seventh year in TBT, Armored Athlete will have plenty of NBA experience as it looks to improve upon their round of 16 finish in 2020. Malcolm Miller won an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors, while Xavier Rathan-Mayes and Jemerrio Jones had short stints in The Association.

Hate to say it but I think Malcolm may have played in his last NBA game.

If he never plays another minute in the NBA, he has been and will remain a credit to Holy Cross and accomplished something few ever do. Good luck, Malcolm, wherever your future leads you.

I hope, of course, that Malcolm returns to the NBA and extends his career. However if I am correctly interpreting what i read online it does appear that he has qualified for a pension and that is very good news
From the hoopshype website:
"NBA players have had a pension plan since 1965. Any player with at least three years of service in the NBA receives a monthly pension payment and access to other benefits (such as life-long healthcare coverage, a college-tuition reimbursement program and more). In order to accrue a year of service, a player must be under contract for at least one game during the NBA season (whether they’re active or inactive doesn’t matter)."
From Sportscasting.com:
"In order to qualify, a player must spend a minimum of three years in the NBA. The yearly pension depends on both the length of time spent in the league and the age the player chooses to start receiving benefits. A three-year player who opts into the pension at age 62 will receive $56,998 per year."

One would think that some team would want a 3 and D player, esp with a.406 3 point %

Maybe his low scoring output this summer is because the big club wants Malcom to work on other aspects of his game or want other players to get more shot opportunities to work on their shooting. It is a developmental league. I doubt there are rings for the league champs, or if so they come out of Crackerjacks boxes.

I hope that is a good spot for Malcolm, one where he can continue to develop and build his rep.
