With some momentum from tonight's win plus more students plus a bigger name opponent who might bring a few more fans than Providence, hopefully we get into that 3500 range next weekend.

Thanks again for your photography, Mr. Foley.
I will say the photo of HC players celebrating a goal (near the end of the gallery) suggests that some of those in the announced attendance came dressed as empty seats.

hc92, Thanks for the posts. They were nicely done and, looking back at them, they give a good sense of the feeling that accompanied this game (and WIN)!

Thanks again for your photography, Mr. Foley. I will say the photo of HC players celebrating a goal (near the end of the gallery) suggests that some of those in the announced attendance came dressed as empty seats. That photo is misleading. For some reason, the crowd was heavily slanted toward the other side of the ice and there were a few sections across from the team benches that were almost completely empty. I guessed 2000. If someone told me it was actually a little less than that, I would believe them but it wasn't a lot less. I took a picture of the crowd, which I'll put up later when I'm at my computer as opposed to my phone.

hc92, Thanks for the posts. They were nicely done ad, looking back at them, they give a good sense of the feeling that accompanied this game (and WIN)! No problem. It was a fun game. There were definitely spots where we played very well and spots where we looked a little overmatched. The goal that got waved off was tough to swallow but the ref had blown the whistle right before it went in, apparently because he lost sight of the puck. The kids had a blast. They were having fun talking to the Providence players from their perch behind the penalty box. Their "Fo-ley Fart-ed, clap, clap, clap-clap-clapped" chant at the poor guy who took the penalty at the end of regulation made them laugh. Not sure Foley thought it was as funny as they did. He was definitely happy to get out of the box. Unfortunately for him, we scored the winner shortly thereafter.

Congratulations to the Holy Cross Hockey team and coaches! What a great day with football and hockey wins!
My grandson, 8 year old, played on his hockey team yesterday morning, skated with the team at the DCU in the afternoon and was part of the group on the ice during the first intermission, skating around, waving and throwing T shirts into the crowd! He's on the "Crusaders" and wears number 98!
Saw HC92 and his gang! They were having a blast behind the penalty box! Good thing there were not many penalties or they very well may have gotten into the penalty box!
Fantastic day all around!
Can we repeat it next week against Lehigh and BC?

Pretty amazing that Atlantic Hockey is 4-1-2 against Hockey East after three weekends -- wins against BC, UNH, Merrimack, and PC. Ties against Northeastern and UConn.
