True, but all in all HC does pretty well considering we have to recruit for Atlantic Hockey, which makes it harder to score top recruits.

We were playing lackadaisically at the end of the 1st period and BC made us pay by scoring with .03 left on the clock putting them up 2-0. Then they scored their 3rd goal after the refs missed an obvious interference call. Obvious to everyone but the refs. Not like BC needed their help. We had a lot of scoring opportunities but couldn't put it home. BC didn't miss on theirs. Maybe we'll see them again in late March.

I admittedly know very little about hockey but the BC defenders seemed to be all over HC like stink. BC is very quick. HC had some shots on goal but it didn't seem like most of them had a chance.
Hey the DCU is a legit arena. I hadn't been there for years, since a hoops game in the 90s. It's absolutely mind boggling why this venue has not been plundered by HC sports. Just the fact that this place exists is, in itself, a reason to ramp up our D1 presence. Forget the on campus talk for now - why bother?

Seemed to be well attended. Crowd was into it. I saw a decent amount of students in my section. Also a lot of families.

Was there disapponting result but nor a disappointing event
i much prefer an on campus facility but the DCU can work the crowd was great and, I believe, the tip of the iceberg when we are a competitive HE team.
BC was way better, no doubt; but we competed well
we hit two crossbars
the .03 first period goal was a killer
they were better; they got a few more breaks; they were better. But shift to shift this was not a Howard-BC football situation; not a bit
onward and upward

No help from the officials. They are notoriously awful, but should be giving some breaks to the Crusaders! Our passing has been sloppy save for the PP. Too many missed chances down low in the BC zone. Bfato has been lucky! I was at at PC-St Lawrence game last night which had 21 power plays in it...the Aha guys let more stuff go

I thought a well attended game this early in the season - 5,000+ would have been my estimate. The Railers will not come close to these attendance figures, unless they give thousands of tickets out for free. Local hockey enthusiasts would rather see hockey east games. BC was quicker and could skate overall, yet HC hit 3 crossbars and 3-4 shots just wide of the post. BC goalie was enormous in size and had a quick glove hand, will be a good one for them. HC had too many penalties and the puck was not bouncing their way last night..... I am not a fan of HC jerseys ( gray and black ) for the last 2 games. Where did the purple and white go ?? Currently very drab look mentioned by a few people. Where was the band last night, they were great last week vs. Providence......the fans were waiting with enthusiasm for HC to score, you could just feel it in the building. Hopefully HC will be back on track vs. Brown on Friday night. Go Cross !!
