Do we have a WR who can throw? Let’s add this play to the repertoire

And Big Ben sneaks into the playoffs in OT unless the Raiders and Chargers tie.

The Bullet had 20 The “Thrill” had 2 in the NFL, at least 10 in one of his two CFL seasons. My 7 year old grandson told me that Kalif had 21.4 fantasy points today. and said that was very good.

Classic Lions. Lose when you need them to win and win when you need them to lose. Their win today cost them the #1 overall pick. Had they lost they would have secured the # 1 pick after the Jaguars won. On the bright side, Kalif had another good game and has put some good tape out there. I hope he re-signs with the Lions but, if he doesn’t, I’m sure he’ll find a home with another team

I like that the Lions went all out to win even if it bumped them back one spot.

I didn’t want to post this until the season was over for fear of jinxing it but Kalif had 7 fumbles in 2016 and 2017. He has one since (in 2019). One of the main knocks on him was ball security early in his career. He has certainly worked very hard to put those concerns behind him.

HC92. Great point about the fumbles. I don’t have the stats on dropped passes but I don’t recall Kalif having many during the season. As far as fumbles are concerned, I don’t remember any and your stats back that up. During training camp, he was interviewed and indicated that, after the ball security issues in his early years, he started taking 200 throws per day after practice from the J.U.G.S. machine. Certainly reflects on his desire to improve and seems to have paid off in a big way.

From SI’s Studs and Duds for the Lions this week:
STUD: Kalif Raymond, WR Raymond was another major benefactor in the Lions’ open playbook, totaling 114 yards on five touches. He caught a touchdown on a reverse pass from fellow receiver Tom Kennedy that went for 75 yards. He also notched a 13-yard carry on his only rushing attempt. His speed proved to be explosive throughout the game, but no play was bigger than the catch-and-run he tallied on the pass from Kennedy. Raymond made his presence felt after missing last week’s game with injury. His speed was on full display, and made an impact in the team’s win.

Great interview. BUT, in this day and age that cough he has does make me nervous. I hope he gets over it (whatever it may be) quickly.

Great interview. BUT, in this day and age that cough he has does make me nervous. I hope he gets over it (whatever it may be) quickly. He had Covid last week so I suspect the cough is a lingering remnant from that.
