Somebody help me out. I'll be walking up for tickets on game day. Do they give out old fashioned tickets at the window or do you have to have the latest smart phone technology?

The pandemic has been unkind to aging Luddites.

Thanks. I'm doing my part bringing a few guests that haven't been in years. I'll be mocked forever if HC comes out flat and gets their butts handed to them. I don't think that'll happen. Nevertheless, this is a golden opportunity for the future of HC football to revive some local enthusiasm. What time does the freshman field open for parking?

Kick-offs seem to be at 1:30 this year. That would suggest gates open at 9:30

I voted 12-15.
A lot of people have not been on campus in 2+ years and want to be with friends.
I know class of 2016 planned a mini-reunion tailgate since their 5th reunion was virtual this Spring. I imagine there may be others.
That and a team with some buzz around it locally and I think that will boost the tecwnt homecoming crowds 2,000 - 4,000. I’ll go with 13,243 announced.

Official attendance: 10,023
Hard to tell from the TV broadcast if we were really right around that number or not. Would love to hear comments from attendees.

Was there and probably an accurate number of mostly disappointed fans (not the Harvard fans, of course).

efg, it must be a generational thing. Holy Cross is not the same as the 70's (or 60's!!).

I frequently generalize, something we should never do, and tell my 7 Millennials they belong to a generation that is in search of a meaningful life and more ways to be self absorbed. It doesn’t sit well with them or others I know, but I feel so badly for them. Life is a gift from God, a special journey, and our generation is even richer for our Holy Cross experience. They haven’t figured it out.
I apologize for any and all I offended

Most people I have ever seen at Fitton. Harvard had maybe 100 fans. I thought that was the most legit attendance number I have ever seen. To bad nothing to cheer about in the first half but a beautiful day and almost an amazing comeback. Time for league play now. Let’s Go Cross!!!!

I spend $0 on parking and everyone joins for free beer/wine. HC looks at me as a total loss. But we have a fantastic time in parking lot. Why do you bother with the football game/HC campus at all? Why not just meet at a convenient CostCo or Target parking lot and try to one-up all the other cool kids with comments on how pathetic HC football is?

It was a solid crowd...FF was packed/sold out....good crowd on the baseball field from what I could see.
Harvard/visitors didn't draw at all.....a legit 10K in the stands at points of the game imo....a dismal 1st H by the Saders killed any energy/momentum for an active crowd sadly.

Saw this nice pic pop up in my feed tonight.
Question for Messrs Phreek, HC87, SofV (and anyone else who may have any insight!):
What is the reasoning around not broadcasting the game from the visitor’s side?
I think many years ago I read in a thread (during the FADDR era) that it had to do with the fact that the necessary electrical infrastructure was not accessible on that side of the field. I feel like I’ve heard lots of these types of “explanations” in the past as support for why we can’t do something…

Nice crowd shot there--there has to be a way of showing the home crowd from time to time during a broadcast.

Baseball field 4000 , stadium 6000. No one cares If there were several thousand in the stands (and on the baseball field), do you really believe they count as "no one." Interesting but poorly expressed point. If you take the time to repeatedly tell us that "no one cares" then, by doing that, you show your premise is incorrect since you apparently care enough to tell others about your lack of caring. (To construct a more persuasive argument I would suggest that you refrain from using "universals" such as "no one."

In order to use the visitor side you'd need to take away some of the space in the President's box for Play x Play, Analyst, etc. and that's not happening. Or at least it hasn't happened since the 1980s. Trust me TV would much rather use the visitor's side.
