4-2 before an empty net goal for ND. Respectable performance.

Inability to make a few simple passes or chip the puck outside the defensive zone led to the last 3 goals. ND has a lot of talent, gets players from the USNTDP and were faster and stronger on the puck then our guys. A pretty decent crowd. ND vs HC outdrew the Icebreaker. Good atmosphere with the school band, a fair amount of students and alums, priests and folks from south bend. Wonderful place to watch a hockey game.

Which you put on in the dressing room, not the locker room Is it, when it comes to hockey, the Holy Cross Athletic Department or the Holy Cross Athletic OrganEYEzation?

Our schedule lists these games as against RV Norte Dame. Does anyone know the meaning of RV, besides recreational vehicle ?

Our schedule lists these games as against RV Norte Dame. Does anyone know the meaning of RV, besides recreational vehicle ? My guess is that it means either "Required Vaccination" or "Riga Victory".

No score after one period - frosh Gale in net and shots fairly close

Down 3-0 after 2 periods - very few scoring chances for us - ND is bigger and faster - so obvious from watching the game Gale still hanging in there or it would be worse

100 percent spot on. Plus ND for forechecking/cycling wearing us down.

I think the coach made some small adjustments tonight which helped tighten up the D- save for a 5 minute breakdown
ND much better talent but good to see some adjustments
No sooner typed and an open look 4-0

Really hope we do something major with our rink. It certainly makes recruiting tougher.

Nice to have scored late for 4-1 final Sr. Goalie Gordon played the 3rd period which was a nice move by Riga

I caught about half the game on SNY, part of my Comcast package. Even to my untrained eyes, there was an obvious difference in the talent level. I thought the announcers were professional and not a pair of "homers." They were quite complimentary of HC goal Gale and coach Riga. I think they said HC had 6 freshman playing, while ND had 4 grad transfers from schools like Cornell and Providence. So no surprise at the outcome. Onward.

Arizona State who has a building being built right now?ย HC has a rink right on campus while some schools like AIC have to bus across town to play. And they don't ride through bucolic countryside... it's Springfield.๐ HC offers a good School, good coach, older rink. It wouldn't be repeated so often if it wasn't a truism: "Two out of three ain't bad."

I don't follow hockey, can someone remind me what's wrong with our facility. Didn't we add video boards there also

They play in Hockey East with schools with much better facilities where players are not staring at a wall while sitting on the bench, among other things. As to the men, if our goal is to win recruiting battles with AIC, we are in trouble as a program. ๐๐๐

Franklin Pierce plays D-1 hockey and they not only bus out of town to practice and play, they bus out of state to a prep school facility. I realize that if we are competing with FPU for recruits we are in trouble, but I wouldn't place the cozy confines of the Hart Center as the worst in the country.

Anyone know if the Luth, PAC, and the Jo were totally covered by donors as opposed to HC also kicking in lots of cash? A major rink upgrade should have been part of the fundraising effort for the Luth. The original Hart renovation plan included the rink, but it was dropped which led to Pearl leaving.
