Of the nine games on Friday, the only ones I see being competitive: Bucknell (Manhattan) and BU (Northeastern). Hopefully Loyola can keep it close against Duquesne. Bucknell has a good chance to beat Manhattan at home.

Bucknell has a good chance to beat Manhattan at home. Duquesne just lost an exhibition to Mansfield State, and they don't have much talent. Picked for 13th (of 14) in the A10 poll. Loyola won't be a favorite, but if they play well they have a shot.

Today's (Monday) Telegram has a FULL PAGE COLOR add for the HC/UMass game! Features photos of Coach, Champion and Malachi. It can be seen in the E-Edition, page B-6. I can't seem to access it right now, the web page is not responding...

It's very easy to "pull it off" when you are the United States Naval Academy, and it's staged on Veteran's Day on campus.
Isn't a school in the country that would say no when asked to participate; and it's excellent goodwill for the visiting teams, as well an positive experience for student-athletes of the visiting teams by experiencing a couple days at a Service Academy.

HC (vs UMass) has to give up two away games for 1 neutral court game. Just does not seem fair.

Well, we gave up a true home football game to Fordham at a site that is virtually around the corner from the Rams at Yankee Stadium.
DCU is closer to a home game than Yankee Stadium. If we start winning consistently, these inequities, like always playing URI or PC at their places may happen with less frequency.

Looks like UMass won 90-76.
A couple of other games later featuring HC opponents: Monmouth and Drexel at 7 on ESPN3 (online); and Harvard and Stanford at 11 on ESPN2.

Pretty sure that is not the Nichols we know and love, but rather Nicholls State from the Southland Conference, right? Either way, not a good start for the ACC powerhouse!
