I was thinking Wally S., as was guessed. Harper certainly is a strong contender also. He must have more rings than Wally Lakers and Bulls I believe. I would guess four or five.

Some here have stated that our coach doesn’t favor power 5 schools but I believe we should play BC at least once in player’s time at HC - Agreed....we should play BC every 3 or 4 years moving forward. We should also play in the South/Southwest every 7-10 years too...Tulane, Rice, SMU, Vandy, Duke et. al. ...takes 2 to tango I know but worth looking into for recruiting/school branding etc.

What was the Wally S. Patriot League connection? His sister Wendy Szerbiak, Lehigh '10. 6'2" also from Cold Spring Harbor. Wally was lightly recruited out of high school (quality of opponents was highly suspect and Cold Spring Harbor is not exactly a hoops hotbed) and almost attended Harvard (I think it came down to Miami of Ohio or Harvard at the end). His dad was quite a player and knew what he was doing with Wally.

Nice addition to the football schedule. I am sure Kit knows all the MAC AD's and could schedule accordingly. How about lining up BC, Syracuse, Army, Navy, Air Force (with Nate Pine), Rice, Tulane, William & Mary, Richmond in alternating years. Drop CCSU from future schedules. These are realistic challenge games for Chesney's troops. Sprinkle in UMass & UConn as well. Duke, Wake Forest & Stanford would be great venues to visit as well. Guarantee money from the FBS games certainly help the budget and excite the alumni. Go Cross ! It has been an awesome week for Holy Cross football. Looks like you're scheduling us out to about 2040 there. But no complaints on the opponents chosen!

Interesting read. One thing I noticed: UCLA wasn't on the list. I looked up their schedule and they are playing Alabama State in September. This will be UCLA's first ever FCS opponent. Interestingly, USC recently canceled a game against UC Davis when it was brought to the AD's attention that the school would fall of the list of just three FBS schools never to play an FCS opponent, with the others being crosstown rival UCLA and cross-country eival Notre Dame.
