Columbia length an issue for us today for sure. Their quickness might have been even more impactful though.

Columbia length an issue for us today for sure. Their quickness might have been even more impactful though. They swept six out of seven league opponents. No shame in the way HC has played them.

A bit of trivia that no one will care about. The SNY commentator, Maren Walseth was on the HC recruiting radar when she was at Simsbury CT High School. Her Pediatrician at the time was a Holy Cross graduate.
I remember conversations with him how he wanted FCBG to really recruit her hard. Unfortunately she went to Penn State.

Tough last 2 games to end the season. It hurts
Remember the Foley quote "I doubt it would be a competitive game. I covered the Ivy Tourney this past weekend for Columbia and they have too much size for HC which would hurt the Crusaders."

Take a week off, then get in the Smith Performance Center to work on strength and quickness.

Good game - Thank you seniors, you all had a great senior year and deserve to be very proud of yourselves and your contributions to the program.

There is no joy in Mudville tonight. But what a great season. Four years of thrills from Avery. Thank You! Will follow both her new team and HC next year with enthusiasm.

I think you may be thinking of a player with a similar name. SNY’s Megan Walseth was born and raised in Minnesota. Played her high school ball in Bloomington Minnesota prior to going to Penn State. Was later head coach at NDSU.

The Seniors went through much turmoil and were more mature about it then some of the adults formerly associated with the program. You can't guarantee the ball will bounce the right way in the PLT, but the things they could control they did and got better each year.

A hardy....Thank You to the Seniors! They have proudly represented Holy Cross, and brought a League Regular Season Championship to Mt. St. James.
They are warriors who battled through a tumultuous four years.

I just love it that Foley was wrong. He will never admit it. The way these announcers talk Columbia should 2 seed in the NCAA Admit what? A comfortable 11 point win for a team that lost in their conference final with likely motivation issues for the postseason nit? Columbia fast break points 28-4.

We hung in there with a more talented team on their home court - If Avery had a better night we would have had a chance because our supporting players all played pretty well Just worried about our ball handling going forward as we were shaky against their pressure Addyson Cross established herself as the leader for next season's team (not only because she's the only senior) She was the difference in many games Those who are saying we will need big improvement from the rising sophs and incoming frosh are absolutely correct - big coaching job ahead for our staff

Yes, Maren Walseth called the game for SNY. She did play at Penn State too.

her bio mentions born and raised in Minnesota. Attended Bloomington HS and graduated from there. Apparently she had a move into Simsbury and back out. The bio on her website does not mention it however. For high school experience, she lists: Jefferson High School - Bloomington, MN Hall of Fame (MN) Minnesota State Tournament (1997) Minnesota State Tournament Champion (1994) Jefferson High School Hall of Fame - inaugural class inductee (2006) www.marenwalsethsports.com

Foley was right about Columbia being a strong team and a tough match up but his "likely motivation issues" comment is way off base. I don't think the Columbia coach or players felt that their lead was "comfortable" until the final buzzer. Grace Munt started the first game for the Crusaders and I expected big things moving forward but it never materialized. I predict that she will be a key player next year. Thorougly enjoyed watching Avery and the rest of the Crusaders this year.

Columbia coach was very complimentary of the HC game plan and preparedness. Gave some specific examples of things we did that she thought to be good strategy. Sounded like more than the usual coach speak.
