I'm very disheartened with the play of the Matts. I was on the radio so you can't appreciate everything, but I'm not sure what can be said about Matt Z based on about 3 meaningful minutes. A bigger question is what's going on in practice that had the major drop in minutes from freshman year Outstanding play in practice by Pat Benzan?

A bigger question is what's going on in practice that had the major drop in minutes from freshman year I was very concerned with his foot speed and agility last year. I would be interested to see if the strength and conditioning program has helped him make improvements there, or I could understand why it would be a difficult matchup against an SEC team.

Benzan had great drive and dish to Champion, otherwise pretty quiet. Don't think Zig got off a shot. KC made a few free throws

I'm trying not to read too much from these games; several of our non-conference opponents would win the PL. Will the games make the team better? That's what I want to know.

Carmody wants these games to be competitive. He didn't like losing to Kansas by 33. Yesterday we lost by 32

Agree, these games are more of a measuring stick for the team, and shows the guys just how much they have to work to do to reach the next level. The speed of these games cannot be duplicated in practice, HC just doesn't have players who can do some the things that these opponents. See RC getting his bunny blocked after the back cut in the SC games first minute. He later missed a layup where he hurried his shot, he "learned" about the speed of the game, got the shot off. Will the games make the team better? I think so..As long as they push ahead and don't get down on themselves. It is a very challanging schedule, but I think it will make this a better team in the PL portion of the season.. Remember, in practice the best players on the team are the biggest and fastest. they never get to practice vs better players, and that is how a player gets better! Playing against better players!

Once again let's remind ourselves of Lehigh losing its first 7 OOC games last year, including by just 10 to Syracuse but by 26 to Virginia and 22 to Purdue, but going 13-5 in PL play.
As DiMarz stated: "It is a very challenging schedule, but I think it will make this a better team in the PL portion of the season."

I think coach Carmody has said we get nothing from a 30 point loss. That's why he almost tore the head off the interviewer last week when the interviewer mentioned Kansas. Best part of this game versus Syracuse is the money. Makes sense for us to bus back to Worcester after tonight's game as someone above mentioned. I am working into the evening today so copious notes I hope will be posted.

I think CBC means if HC can't do anything productive, then they don't get anything from the game..The SC game we were productive..Tonight, IMHO, is a real challange. 'Cuse has great size, speed and quickness..Something we don't really have...Tonight we have to shoot the ball well, "make shots", and take care of the ball, limit turnovers. If we do that, when it will be a productive game!
