The USCHO was only temporary, as the start in 2018 as a member of the Hockey East that was announced today shows. CTP was on target in predicting this and HC13's fears seem to have been unfounded. GO CROSS GO - you have a year to get things up a notch or two for women to compete in the Hockey East! ...now about the men...

While it might take time for the program to develop fully at the Division 1 level, there is no doubt of the impact of the freshman on schollies in 2018-19. During my time on the Hill, we had a number of Division 1 caliber athletes, including many who were recruited by major WCHA and Hockey East Teams. Lisa Wilson, Emily Henry, Jocelyn Kratchmer, Stacey Hotchkins, Nicola Garat, and Monique Gallant all could have played and even starred for Hockey East squads. While it might take time for the bottom lines to fill out, I have no doubt that we will compete well in 2018-19. I think most people on here are predicting two losing seasons, but I think we might even make a playoff splash

I'll bend God's ear in the Chapel next time I get to Mt St James. You can quote me when we go 0 for our D1 schedule next year

I agree. Posters very complimentary of ADNP and the athletic department. And from what I read, not a HC alum or parent in the bunch. The campus has made a big, positive impression on those who have visited.. Repeated references to ND dropping women's ice hockey, one poster even listing the ND in Indiana and its endowment. The ND referenced is North Dakota. Our Lady of the Lake has a women's program at the club level.

The folks in the Grounds Dept deserve mega kudos for what they have achieved over the years. It is so obvious that they really care about the beauty.

Had a great conversation with the coaching staff this week. I think there is some D1 talent on our team who will really need to step up and adjust to a faster game. The games against D1 opponents, even former powers like Maine and UNH, might be won or lost by the 3rd and 4th lines. It is an exciting time for HC and I would have loved to see this opportunity for HE when I was still on the Hill and we had 3 or 4 players who couldn't have been serious starter on a D1 squad. Best of luck to Coach VB this year

After splitting the weekend series vs. sacred heart last weekend, the team has a monumental task this weekend with a series vs. harvard. tonight at 6 in cambridge and tmro afternoon at 2 in worcester. harvard is 3-1-1 so far this year with all games vs. ecac competition.

Might be just me but I will trade a women’s hockey loss to Harvard for a men’s basketball win over Harvard any day. Preference, of course, is for a win in both categories.

Glad we’re playing tougher teams in our transition year. Hopefully it will speed up the process of getting to a point where we can be competitive with most D-1 teams.

This 2-0 win over Harvard was huge (after the 8-3 blowout yesterday by this same team). It looks as though the women are developing and this is evidence of it. It may also be an example of the value of "home ice."

great win, but wouldn't the win over Sacred Heart count as a D 1 victory?
