Got there an hour before to watch warmups. For what it's worth the Harvard squad seemed awfully self-confident like they were about to hand HC a rout, particular during their pre-game dunk contest, or whatever the hell that even was.
Definitely was a nice evening and a great way to start the Thanksgiving break.

Harvard lost another one This, the prized recruit, Wendell Carter, #3 in ESPN rankings, who chose Duke.

By the way, how long ago did they do away with forbidding pre-game dunking in the presence of the refs (they were out there when that little drill was going on)? Used to be a technical foul. I wonder if our guys were also a little tired of hearing about all their 3-4 star guys.

That was one of the rule changes prior to last year.

I'm not sure when dunking in warm ups became a thing. I'm ambivalent about it although having a pregame dunkoff is kind of stupid in my opinion but to each his own. There just seemed to be a very casual air by Harvard before tipoff whereas HC waited until they were up 19 before they cracked a smile. I liked it.
I enjoyed also seeing the great chemistry between AT and PB. This says a lot about the character of both men and they both seem to be elevating each other's game. Only a coach like Carm would have the intelligence to figure out a way to play two point guards at the same time. All about making the most of your personnel. Football should pay attention.
Carm never stops teaching. I see that when a player makes an error he basically makes a pained expression and then explains it to the guys sitting on be bench. By doing this there is continual learning and therefore continual improvement. We should only get better and better with this coach. He's absolutely the perfect coach for HC basketball and I hope he's here for many, many years.
I suspect that for those that who can appreciate HC's brand of basketball that this will be a most interesting season to watch.
