Army is playing UMass at McGuirk Stadium on 11-26. If they can play at a 15,000 stadium, why not a 23,000 one?

Because they will win in the 15,000 seat stadium and probably lose in the 23,500 seat stadium?🤷🏻‍♂️

I would be very surprised if HC would not split the gate if it meant getting Army to come to Fitton. Would be a great day. Very unlikely to ever happen especially if they’re playing UMass every other year in Mass. They like to spread out their road games geographically. Not that they’d want to play an FCS game on the road no matter what.

Army played at Yale in 2014, but that was a unique situation being the Yale Bowl's 100th year.

Fitton would provide geographic diversity for the Air Force Academy. Don't we "know a guy" there? Who hired our magnetic coach who is hard to say no to?

Guessing it would be pretty easy to schedule a fly-by with Westover and Barnes right next door.
And yes I know different branches....

Has become nearly as inane an argument as those who have advocated Holy Cross being in D3 in non-revenue sports.

Army didn't even come to Fitton when we were both major college programs.

Games in West Point? Yes they would do that. Even though you might get Worcester vets and such to come out, I doubt Army wouls schedule it. More likely get UMass or UConn?

That’s expiring soon so maybe we can get a home game soon

AWP has two wins this season, both over FCS schools so for this season they’re just happy to be playing (maybe)the worst FBS school in the land

Well, now that you brought up MacArthur let me tout “American Caesar” by William Manchester, one of the top 5 or 10 books i have ever enjoyed reading.

Unless AWP promises to bring the cadets, the band, the helicopters, and the parachuting cadets to Fitton, I would prefer we keep a game with Army at Michie Stadium, a terrific campus-wide experience

Don't forget the Howitzers. When at Michie, I sit high on the Army side of the field, so I can see the smoke from the guns, across the reservoir, then a second later hear the concussion. Listening to On, Brave Old Army Team, ... not so much. . Hope that on November 11th, 2023, the song will have very limited play.

Harvard at Army? Murphy must be retiring..... haha. You almost made me spit out my tea. Yes I agree with your assessment! I do think the HC game is going on the tablet, but I can't see the Harvard game.

The Army message board on Academywars.com mentioned Harvard at Army on Sept. 9 and Holy Cross at Army Nov. 11. So their home slate will basically be all Massachusetts schools + Air Force. If true, Harvard, UMASS, BC and Holy Cross ALL visit Michie in 2023.
