People will go to extraordinary lengths in support of their religion. For many people climate activism has become their religion. When Al Gore's film "An Inconvenient Truth" came out it was shown in the Church Hall of a local Episcopal Church and followed by an Ecumenical Clergy run discussion of "stewardship" of God's green earth.

The Ivy League is good for this every few years. I'm elated to hear that the PA announcer at Penn still does "scores of other games" during breaks in the action.

Good to have scores handy to announce when a flash mob starts demonstrating.🙂

At least Harvard-Yale is in Cambridge this year. So no need to have to worry about pushing kickoff to 11am to avoid darkness if a protest delays the 2nd half.

Anyone who speaks up or takes action to bring attention to the dire threat that climate change poses to humanity is “good people” in my book. Everyone should be alarmed by this threat rather than being appalled at or dismissive of these students’ apparently sincere effort to do something good.

Hearing about the flyer the protesters distributed explaining what they were going to do and their emphasis that they wanted only delay the game not to cancel it, combined to change my feelings about this event. Well done on a number of levels.
